Now that I"m working from home, I need to be able to send appointment notices to business colleagues who do not have Outlook, which is my main tool.
Can anyone suggest any calendar software that will enable sending and receiving appointment notifications to/from people who are using a variety of different calendar solutions?
I'll be grateful for any recommendations. Thank you all.

Google Calendar comes immediately to mind. It syncs with most standard desktop calendar software.
If Google is not in good odor, there are other similar online platform agnostic systems. However, all users generally have to have accounts with the provider - Google’s is free.
Also, what do you normally use in the office already?
I cal works great for me. Works between microft, gmail for sure. Not sure its truly an app. I use it from Microsoft outlook appointments.
Google Calendar is good.
Another alternative is to send plain text.
Thanks for this post. Good topic.
