I don’t think “everything” in the economy is that dire. Some areas, like tourism and some retail, yes. But for many if is shifting to online, online jobs, delivery, etc are booming. And we have a very large sector that still will be working, essential, services as well as many jobs that can be done at home. Law, accounting, and so many more jobs like that moving online. My husband’s business will not be shutting, just less hours. People will have to tighten their belts a lot.

Maybe I am naive, but I am not seeing 2.0% of the population dying from the economy, sorry.

Well, I did my store run today. Went to a BJ’s and many people were wearing masks. I did that, too, and used gloves. Stuff is out in the car at them moment but will be coming to the back porch to be brought in for washing or disinfecting out there, then if not perishable, it goes out again to sit until needed.

BJ’s was out of a lot of meat and frozen veggies and fruit but had a fair amount of cheese and I scored big with 36 count pack of Scott TP. They were allowing only one per customer.

Got to the grocery store and got some chicken and a few odds and ends for dinner. Will be good for a while.

I think the numbers just aren’t big enough yet. Not that I want them to get higher but the kind of “noise” we are seeing tells me there just isn’t enough data yet for the curves to settle down. Yet the “slope” as you say tends to indicate we will be getting bigger numbers and the curves will settle in very nicely. I had hoped two weeks ago we would top out this week. I was wrong.

3M is doing wrong, wrong, wrong.

Then there’s Cuomo’s hospitals where we buy them masks but them they disappear out the back door.

There needs to be serious fines and jail time.

Congrats on the TP sighting and acquisition.

I hope you don’t mind if I borrow some for the next bell curve projection chart we see around here. :-)

Hurting the economy leads to deaths just like the virus does. The balance is the question and I don’t have the answer, just observing.

Oh, BS,

That’s just rationalization to justify complaining about the economy over the lives lost..

It reveals a callousness towards human life that is reprehensible and is just an unproven and unprovable assertion. It’s simply an opinion with no way of verifying.

I *think* we are done with our human shopping. Our farm is a different matter. Every time I think we are topped off for the animals they prove me wrong with how much they actually eat. I have a lot of pregnant animals now, boy they can really eat, lol

“Worldwide news is depressing. Third world countries may become fourth world countries.”

I was just telling my wife that. All we can do is survive this first surge, then go into War Time mode.

Start building factories to manufacturer supplies so we can help America first then advance out to help world.

Only thing we can do right now is Pray. So sad :(

Listen I’m a pretty big germaphobe. I won’t even swim in a tepid body of water sanspandemic. However, there is a big difference between a beach or a lake in the summer, and cold, spring fed creek or river in Alabama.
