The good thing about hiking in the water is that most people do not do this.

Of course, when I hike back to the vehicle, it’s on land, because hiking upriver with a dog or dogs is basically impossible.

No one knows how to balance this, but the President and the medical advisors have to try.

Medical advisors will always favor lowering the risk of the virus, they are medical people.

Even when this is over (assuming it ends), we will never really know if we did the right things. But people on both sides will insist they were right anyway.

Elections will turn on voter beliefs about it.

I follow follow the sailing family below on Youtube. They are stuck in New Zealand. Their oldest daughter is in the states. I doubt a passport is going to be of much use right now - no flights, or even private modes of travel allowed between nations, including islands and countries in the Pacific.

Many things upended during this worldwide plaque.

Here’s an unusual question, sorry if too off topic but... I have livestock guardian puppies (5 weeks) and my neighbors kids want to pet them. I know these poor kids are bored to death so I’m not going to stop them, but how do I protect myself after... wear gloves to the barn?

“I really want to take my dogs for a water hike.
I think I’m going to do that soon regardless of any risk.”

Just don’t go to water that could have sewage in it, like the ocean. It spreads the virus, that’s why beaches are closed.

Our paved trail here is very long, but only about 8 feet wide or so.

I have not recently checked to see how populated it is.

I might have to go drive by and see.

I’m glad you got to go out and exercise. Mind, body and soul!

For those who haven’t seen it, the latest Chris Martenson video—Why everyone should wear a mask:

True, I think voters will think he did great or did poorly. Split, so that’s not new.

I guarantee you, if he were to let it burn through so that everyone has a loved one die? That would sway an election big time. At least the economy can recover. Dead is dead.

3M dude looks panicked as Hell.
My personal opinion is that the guy got caught.

Not only that, he is doing an interview on a program that has an audience in the hundreds of thousands trying to turn the tide of public opinion generated by the Presidential press conferences and Trump's 75 million Twitter followers. This has to be a PR disaster.

Lots of people walking here in this 2,700 pop town. Everyone good about keeping their distance though. We have lots of trails and bike/walk paths, which helps.

This particular creek is ice cold and fed from a lake in Alabama.

But people also swim in it, and uh, people will do things in the water. I’ve seen my dogs do things in the water too.

I can see myself not going now lol!

/facepalm

Thanks. I agree, get out, get a walk, some sunshine.

We are thinking of putting a prefab barn type thing up on our property in Colorado. We think it can be done fairly quickly. We have a house but it is kind of small and hoping to get my daughter and her BF there.

Anyone have an experience with it?

I doubt anybody’s swimming now, a little too cold, you’ll be fine 🙂

. “Dead is dead.”

Yes, and dead from the economy is just as dead as dead from the virus. It’s a no win situation which means I probably shouldn’t think about it anymore.

Like most everything in my life, saving me and mine is up to me in the end.

That is a solid indicator (in most cases) of how steep the curve is in a given area, regardless of how well they are testing and reporting.

It's the best indicator I know of...also the fastest indicator on how well treatments may be working!

People wanting to be near water should read this, though it refers to oceans.
