NFL draft bets: We know three QBs will go in the first round. Will four? Five?

We’ve seen plenty of examples of quarterbacks being overdrafted. The Minnesota Vikings picked Christian Ponder way before they should have. EJ Manuel became Buffalo’s first-round pick. And so on. That happens when teams are desperate. There aren’t many franchises clamoring for a quarterback now. Former MVP Cam Newton is unsigned, as is 2019 passing leader Jameis Winston. They’re both former No. 1 overall picks. The Cincinnati Bengals haven’t traded Andy Dalton yet, and he’s a three-time Pro Bowler. Scoff at them if you wish, but a few years ago they’d have been in demand. The NFL quarterback field has never been deeper. And we’ll add three more first-round locks: LSU’s Joe Burrow, Oregon’s Justin Herbert and Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa. Tagovailoa might slip if teams are worried about his hip, but it’s impossible to see him falling out of the first round. Other than that? BetMGM has more than 160 draft props posted, including how many quarterbacks go in Round 1. And the oddsmakers don’t think we’ll get to five.

Why? There’ll never be football again.

Will there?

No. All it takes is ONE early picking team to NOT be too worried about it.

NFL teams are like a herd of sheep - one gets alarmed, the others all tend to follow in a mad stampede. A high first round pick and a guy with a substantial injury history - risky for any GM.

I still think it’s interesting Newton and Winston haven’t been picked up. Especially Newton. I wonder if he has medical issues the public isn’t aware of? Or maybe he’s just asking for too much.

Big gaps in the offensive line—-6 feet apart. QB not allowed under center. No handoffs to backs, just pitches. Players sprayed down after every play. They wear gloves and masks.

1 CIN
5 MIA
6 LAC
9 JAX
12 RAIDERS
18 MIA
19 RAIDERS
20 JAX
23 PATS
24 SAINTS
26 MIA
30 GB

8 Teams looking for QBs have 12 picks.
4 quarterbacks won’t survive the first round.

INDY wants a QB too, but unlikely in the first round.
And Bears, maybe early 2nd round.

I have the same opinion and I'm an Alabama fan. I also think that Tagovailoa is the most OVER rated QB in CFB. Any pro team clamoring to get him will regret it!

I have been a big KC Chief's fan since their first Super Bowl win. I don't think we will be needing a QB any time soon! :)

Looking forward to your live thread later in the day.

It’s on ABC, for those who don’t have Cable tv.

He seems to more interested in being a fashion model than a top rated QB....

After his SB post game conference performance (he was a whining pathetic POS) I won't pick him at all...
