I tried to search FreeRepublic for any article title that included the words "Marcy," or "Marcy Park" and I came up empty.
No articles matches the search.
This, to me, seemed unbelievable.
I tried "Fort Marcy" and "Ft. Marcy." No articles matches the search.
I tried "Fort Marcy Park" and "Ft. Marcy Park." No articles matches the search.
Can this be true?
Or is it just me?
You mean Macarthur Park?IIRC, it took Richard longer to sing it than it took to bake it.Well, 'Cause it took so long to bake it, And I'll never have that recipe again...
Ha! Things we never realized - guys stationed in Ethiopia. Guess it beat the hell out of being stationed in Da Nang.

The TRICK to using search on FR is that less is better. If you use multiple words, you won’t get much unless what you entered is EXACTLY a match to something.
Just enter ONE word. That usually works.
Why don’t you try searching under keywords instead of title. I got results doing that
Using only one word, “Marcy,” as you suggest, I got:

Many remember the haunting photograph: A woman wearing business attire and pearls is covered head-to-toe in white dust, her hands held out helplessly before her, as she makes her way out of the World Trade Center’s damaged North Tower on September 11, 2001. She survived that day, getting out before both towers of the trade center crumbled and killed 2,753 people in the deadliest terror attack on U.S. soil. But the woman in the photos, known to most as the “Dust Lady,” died Tuesday, her family said. Marcy Borders was 42.

I don’t want some song called Marcy Playground.
I know there have been FreeRepublic topics on Marcy Park. Thanks, though.
I don’t understand, yet.
I know there have been FreeRepublic topics on Marcy Park.
Why can’t I find them?
No, I don’t mean “MacArthur Park.”
Marcy Park.
Thanks, though.
Waylon Jennings and the Kimberlys did the best Macarthur Park. Ever.
“July 20,1993.”
What does that mean?
You don’t really want to bake it. All the sweet cream icing flowing down, all over the place.

Interestingly enough, I didn’t go to Wikipedia to find out what they say about Fort Marcy Park.
I went to FreeRepublic to see what they said.
I could not find out anything via search.
I don’t care what Wikipedia says.
I do care why I can’t find anything on FreeRepublic.
Death of Vince Foster on that day.
That’s good.
Like a striped pair of pants.
I know Vince Foster died on that day.
Can you do me a favor?
Try to find anything on “Marcy” using that as the search term, either under title or keyword. We know “Marcy Park” must have been in a title of some article or other.
I found nothing.
That’s why I asked the forum.
All I received was hostility. Where are all the articles?
