I carry a Ruger 38 special all the time, you can’t tell I have it on me, throw in a speed loader or two just in case, as others have said, in the very rare case if you need to pull your firearm, how many rounds would you really need, it would be highly unlikely that you would be engaged in an extended shootout...
There is no chance it jams, plus a 38 hollow point round is sufficient take down someone if necessary

Huge difference between a normal self defense situation vs going to war.
Revolver is fine for personal defense but not for the end of the world situations.
