Thought/opinion re: Priestap's handwritten notes

OK, this is something I've been thinking about since the FIB got busted with railroading General Michael Flynn (American Patriot).

So, we know that a smoking gun was found in the form of the hand-written notes Bill Priestap had been taking regarding the plot to take down General Flynn. More specifically, these were some pre-"interview" premises about how they might get Flynn to admit guilt, lie, etc.

The puzzling thing to me is: why would Priestap include these notes in any official paperwork, files, etc., where they may be found in the future? These notes were about as incriminating as it gets, IMHO.....admitting to felonies in his own hand.

The question is: were these notes indeed NOT included in any FIB paperwork or files (Priestap kept them for his personal records), how did the good guys come into possession of them?

Makes one wonder if Priestap has grown some yellow feathers.

Why did Flynn agree to stuff he didn’t do or say?

They threatened to go after his son.

The purpose of a 302 is to force someone to do something. This is why the FBI will not allow recording their interviews.

Probably because they bankrupted him and threatened to throw his son in jail.....you know, not much at all.

They were sure Hillary would win, it was all rigged for her.
Problem is they only cheated the usual amount and President Trump brought out voters that hadn’t been voting that they didn’t count on.

Priestap is said to have turned. His remark about playing games signalled his divided nature about what was going on.. so this was a CYA document.. written contemporaneously.

When this crossed into the new administration, the whole game was seditious and he knew it.

Much has been made of the deliberate effort to blow up any Trump person in the National Security Advisor’s seat because the game would be up that exact moment. The naming of Flynn was just fortuitous for this bunch because they had already targeted him.

good point. air could be that they use standard issue notebooks for meetings and they keep them all by policy. But I doubt it.

More likely as you say he kept these notes that show he was trying to be a good guy (or at least a less bad guy) in case the plan blew up.

As to how they came into possession of the notes, maybe they flipped Priestap.

The FBI was threatening to indict his son for something.

Thanks to all for that. I was just wondering - what was his son involved in?

Have seen in the twitterverse underground... a thank you note to someone handwritten by obi-won-kenyobi for some national service or other. This person (un-named) compared the writing with the supposed Priestap’s notes you are posting about.

Someone (was it a court certified forgery expert? who knows) found 4 or 5 letters and words that were a match.

Stray thought is that Priestap (or someone) grabbed obama’s notes on Flynn (at the Jan 5th 2017 meeting) and put them in the Priestap file.

It could be Priestap who was the Head of FBI Counterintelligence (top guy) and was Strozk’s boss (who must have known Strozk was a Brennan see eye aaaa spy in his organization— or found it out in all of this). This is a classic tradecraft move... to “watermark” his notes with obamaumao’s notes substituted. Had he been found out—he might have been offed.

All this being suppositional. However the “matches” are compelling to even a bank president verifying a signature.

“...maybe they flipped Priestap.”

If he “commits suicide” in the next couple weeks we'll know for sure.

I don’t recall what the FBI claimed. It doesn’t matter if the son was innocent. At $500 to $1500 per hour no one can afford to fight the government. They know this, so even a threat is enough. They won’t have to pay your Bill’s if they lose. The general had to sell his house. He is broke.

The government plays dirty. They play to win. Justice has nothing to do with it.

His son went with him to the Russia Today meeting in Moscow, where Flynn was seated at a table across from Putin, and... sitting next to Putin at this way before the 2016 election... was JILL STEIN (Green Party “communist” candidate for Pres in 2016!). Not kidding.

His son attended the meeting elsewhere, not the dinner and they had something they thought they could threaten Flynn with on his son. Out of money, and criminal actions of his “Holder’s firm” attorneys who bled him dry-—he pled to a PROCESS crime.... not to “lying” to the FBI. A silly detail of a the phone call to Kislyak. Criminal behaviour of both his defense team and Strozk and Pienta FBI and especially McCabe (who is a full blown criminally dirty cop... on the level of chi-town irish mobsters, seriously).

The government should have to pay the legal fees if they lose - with 20% interest.

I had always thought the handwritten notes were part of the official record in the preparation of the 302 forms, and as such, had to be kept. I looked around, and all I could find was a Forbes article with this:

"...Although there is no legal requirement that the government take notes of witness interviews, the accuracy of notes the government does take is critically important for multiple reasons. Foremost among those, the government is legally required to disclose to the defense exculpatory and impeaching information, and the government typically satisfies this burden by disclosing interview notes, interview memos (like 302s) that are based on notes, or both. In this regard, courts have found that the government can meet its disclosure obligations by turning over interview memos alone where the memos “contain[] all of the information contained in the interview notes,” and have also confirmed that where there are material differences between an agent’s notes and an interview memo, the government must turn over the notes themselves..."

Still kind of fuzzy, though. Does say the word "must" in there, which is a legally loaded word.

Correct. But beyond that a power hungry psycho who would dig up his notes and show them to hillary beast that he was the primary force that put the dims back in power, and of course that he would like a commensurate reward. Maybe Attorney General,,,maybe head of the FBI...who knows?

If looser pays became law the courts would be empty. Remember most lawmakers are lawyers. They would never create a law that essentially eliminated the need for lawyers.
