What if NFL players return to kneeling at games in 2020 season?

Vikings should sign Kaepernick.
Players should kneel for anthem.

Then a demonstration around the field. Fans join in, start vandalizing, looting, and attempt arson. Not sure if Soldier Field can burn. Injured police officers are then removed by ambulance.

Owners make so much money, they don’t fear a drop in viewership. I’ll do my best to keep the TV off & wait for XFL.

I figured it was gonna happen and I had kind of resigned myself to it.

Look, I’m a little bit of an odd bird on this site. I have had some negative interactions with Law Enforcement back in the early 80’s. I got messed up by a cop (once) the one time I did not play nice. I saw how they treated some of the black guys I was tight with back then. Some of the crap the cops used to justify stopping people and then they way they spoke to the black guys... it was often really wrong. And you hear about how LA cops do stuff and you see how SD cops do some stuff.

Point being, I am not 100% anti BLM - I go to church with some ladies that are married to black guys and have beautiful children with pretty dark skin and stuff like this last killing freaks them out. When really decent ladies, with top notch husbands (some of which are your buddies) and kids were marching in 2015, that got my attention. I listened.

The thing that I really did not like about the kneeling was that I really want to have a sabbath. My football filled Sundays are how I rest my mind and decompress from everything in the world and just the realities of life. I hated that an ugly reality was splashing itself on my screen and I did not like that part...

Please do not quote stats and figures at me; I know them and can quote them just as well as any of you. I will offer up that life experience and the perception of reality, just as much as an individual life itself, is subjectively experienced and known. My subjective experience leads me to extend some grace, even to BLM. After all, I’ve broken bread with a couple of their members and I would have that USMC veteran and his wife, with a beautiful alto voice that loves to worship God, and his oldest (now serving his country as his father did), and their other kids over to my place any day of the week.

So, Impy, I’ll be here. I might turn into the Chiefs game a few minutes after the top of the hour, but I’ll be watching the best game ever invented being played at the highest level next September.
