Saks Fifth Avenue surrounded its flagship Manhattan store with razor wire on Tuesday to keep thieves from smashing their way in and making off with troves of expensive merchandise, The Post has learned. The luxury retailer has also hired private security guards with specially trained dogs to protect the premises in the wake of Monday night’s looting of Macy’s iconic, Herald Square location.

Four freaking “reporters” and apparently not a one of them knows what razor wire actually is. The store has been wrapped in standard chainlink fencing.

The pictures show nothing but a standard roll of chain-link. The “reporters” likely mistook the sawtooth end of the chainlink as what they think is “razor wire” which shows they have zero idea of what is actually razor wire or the difference between that and barbed wire. But I suppose as is typical with “reporting”, razor wire sounds scarier, so razor wire it is.
That sums it all up. For some reason, looking at these photos, I’m reminded of photos of Beirut (formerly “the Paris of the Middle East”) after the Lebanese Civil War. I never thought I’d see our cities, all over the country, looking like that. It just makes one grieve for what we had and how we were.

NYPD is defending the area around the Trump Tower as their highest priority. I am told they have a personal interest in making sure that part is not touched, out of loyalty to Trump.
