‘We will not be silenced:’ NFL stars send video message to league about racial inequality

Patrick Mahomes, Saquon Barkley and Michael Thomas are among more than a dozen NFL stars who united to send a passionate video message to the league about racial inequality.

The 70-second video was released on social media platforms Thursday night and also includes Odell Beckham Jr., Deshaun Watson, Ezekiel Elliott, Jamal Adams, Stephon Gilmore and DeAndre Hopkins.

Thomas, the Saints wide receiver who led the league in receptions the past two seasons, opens the video with the statement: “It’s been 10 days since George Floyd was brutally murdered.” “How many times do we need to ask you to listen to your players?” asks Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu.

It is obvious the narrative is cops are out there killing black men for no reason. According to the Washington Post more unarmed white men were killed by cops than black men. The number of unarmed black men killed by cops was 15 in 2019.
