The great points of interest for a few days will be Richmond and Baltimore; and we may look for all manner of rumors and opinions, and alleged facts, got up by the great men’s little men, who will have the public ear or the use of the electric telegraph for the next fortnight. Speculation is rife as to the happy man who is to unite the Democratic Party, if the Richmond Convention should adjourn their nomination to Baltimore, and it should turn out at Baltimore that the nomination of Judge DOUGLAS would create an inevitable fissure in the Democratic Party. As it is hardly fair that the spokesmen of cliques and the customers of the telegraph should have all this speculation to themselves, we are disposed to give currency to a suggestion that has been largely mooted for some two or three months among persons with Democratic or Conservative tendencies, and that has met with very considerable favor. We allude to the possible nomination of Mr. Justice NELSON, of the Supreme Court, as the Democratic candidate for the Presidency.

June 12, 1860. New Orleans Daily Crescent, New Orleans, LA. Reservation Indians (Tonkaways, Caddoes, Delawares, Iones, Wichitas, etc.) followed and killed six more Kiowa Indians in Texas. Planning a grand scalp and war dance over the six scalps and will repeat the same when the Superintendent arrives – column 2.
