JAPAN—You probably knew it by now, but today Toyota officially announced that the Prius is gay. The auto giant said it was long past time to let the public in on the vehicle's dirty little secret; and the announcement shocked almost nobody.
"We felt the time was right for Prius to come out of the closet,” Toyota spokesman Andrew Welsh explained. "It's Pride month 2020, and let's be honest, a lot of strange things have happened this year. We thought a hybrid car coming out as gay might even seem normal in a year like this."
Though most normal people had already guessed that Prius was super gay, some people just don’t have good gaydar. The news shocked hundreds of people worldwide.
“No way,” said valley girl Alicia Simmons. “The Prius can’t be gay. My dad drives a Prius. O-M-G, does that mean my dad is gay? I HAVE to call my mom!”
The gay community welcomed Prius with open arms, and got right to work on a campaign to require that everyone at least test drive the hybrid, just to see what it’s like. The group also decided it was only right that they add a “P” to their ever-lengthening acronym. Welcome to the LGBTQP community Prius!
So, did someone turn one over to check the essential parts?

In the 80s I worked with two girls who were Lesbians. I only saw them monthly or so and no one told me they were but I knew.
One was actually pretty. Both drove Subaru’s which I later learned was typical for them.

One longtime Detroit FM radio DJ speculated that drivers and/or owners of the VW Cabriolet convertibles were “usually gay” and it was on live...But the co-host or co-DJ, who happened to be a woman, said she didn’t know about that. WTF?

Okay, it's story time.
Years ago I was invited by an Automotive Survey Company to do a hands on review of a new Car. I had recently bought a brand new Shelby Mustang SVT and they called me.
It was held at the San Bernardino CA Police training Track. They had each of us drive a Honda Civic SI Coupe and then a Ford Focus SVT Coupe prototype they were coming out with.
After the drive, they had two of us in a room to be interviewed about the comparative good and bad between the Cars. They had a Camera on us and there were a group of Ford Execs in another room watching.
After we answered the questions, the Interviewer holds up a rendering of a Convertible Ford SVT Coupe they were thinking of making. The other guy in the room with me thought it was okay.
When they asked me, I told them it was not appropriate for their targeted Buyer, young Men. I said the Convertible looked like a VW Golf and young guys would never buy it.
The Interviewer got a little pushy and seemed upset at my opinion on the Car. He just didn't get it.
At that point in time asked him if he ever watched the TV Show Veronica's Closet? I proceed to tell him (and the audience watching us in the other room) that on one episode, a young Black guy comes to work bragging about his new Car, a VW Golf Convertible. Another young guy looks at the picture of the Car and tells him, that's a Chick's Car.
The Black guy is upset at his coworker and continues to disagree with his opinion. The coworker isn't swayed.
The next day the young Black guy shows at work and shows his coworker a Bumper Sticker that reads “I (heart) Women” that he is going to put on the back of his Golf Convertible.
The coworker looks at the Bumper Sticker and says...
Wait for it...
Great, now you have a Lesbian's Car.
At that point there is raucous laughter coming from the room full of Ford Executives. The guy next to me starts laughing and the Interviewer looked dazed. They never built a Convertible version of the Focus SVT Hatchback and I still believe it was because of me. #;^)
