Columns of tanks and troops are parading through Red Square today as President Vladimir Putin oversees grand World War II commemorations to stir up patriotic fervour ahead of a vote on extending his rule. Forced to postpone the country's traditional May 9 Victory Day celebrations by the coronavirus pandemic, Putin rescheduled the parade for just a week ahead of a July 1 public vote on controversial constitutional reforms. Personally, I think that it would better for Russia if they just had a peaceful transfer of power. This thing that Putin has been doing of continuing to extend his time in office, is really not good for the country in the long run. One of the greatest decisions of George Washington, which really speaks to his character in an extremely positive was his belief that 8 years as President was enough for any man.
