The Overland Mail has arrived here, and brings the missing package of telegraph news sent via Vtzalia on the night of the 5th inst. SAN FRANCISCO, Tuesday, June 5 -- 11 P. M.,Via Vtzalia. The steamer Golden Age sailed to-day for Panama, with 400 passengers and $1,690,000 in treasure of which $1,530,000 is for New-York. The regulars and volunteers under Col. HAYES and Capt. STEWART were attacked on the afternoon of the 2d inst. near Pyramid Lake. The Indians were defeated, with a loss of 70 killed and several wounded. Two volunteers were killed and three wounded. Capt. STORER was mortally wounded. Three regulars were killed and one wounded. The battle was not decisive, and another is expected soon. The battle ground where Maior OBMSBY's party was defeated two weeks ago, has been visited, and twenty bodies interred with military honors.

Been to the second battle site near the lake a few times. Interesting place for a battle.
FWIW, Paiutes, Shoeshone and Bannock tribes allied together to fight at the battle of Pyramid Lake which was part of the Paiute war in NW Nevada which was instigated by the tribe’s land being overrun by prospectors and miners upon the discovery of the Comstock Load.
