When New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy tweeted a picture of him observing a moment of silence in honor of George Floyd earlier this month, people were quick to point out that he was doing it from behind a desk that was engraved with the name of Woodrow Wilson.
Some found the image ironic because Murphy was remembering the unjust death of a Black man while sitting at a desk that once belonged to Wilson, a former New Jersey governor and US president who defended segregation and slavery.

At least he’s concentrating on important things.
How’s Camden doing?
Taxes?
Gun rights?
Money from vacationers?
Freedom?
That doesn't prevent these people from being idiots. Murphy has been a lousy a governor as has Cuomo.
Considering the track record, I think residents of NJ would rather have him not concentrate on anything.
Racism solved...hallelujah. (snark)
Is the desk racist? Can you catch racist cooties from it?
LOL, true.
I dont like or respect Wilson but when the
Social movement is strong enough to cancel important historical figures and objects, then that social movement is far too powerful.
Oh, good grief, don’t these mental midgets have ANYTHING better to do than whine about stuff that ended 150 years ago?
Hey all you good folks in New Jersey.
Florida is open for you all to move to so come on down and get the hell out of the liberal crap you are all suffering through.
What bothers me more about the ‘midgets’...if you actually tested them on the era that they want to talk about, they’d only test out at 40 to 50 percent of the ‘facts’.
It’s like asking them to use a marker, and mark Confederate states, and most all will mark in West Virginia, Kentucky and Missouri as Confederacy members.
Same for asking them the significance of Gettysburg....they’d have no idea.
While liberals praise Planned Parenthood for its contributions to the health of women (unborn infants carrying the feminine XX chromosomes excluded), no one seems eager to discuss the organizations origin or its racist founder, eugenics advocate, Margaret Sanger.
Stupidity is spreading...
“If the ship is going down, I have no problem taking the likes of Wilson along with it.”
Why say that? Why grant an ounce of legitimacy to the cancel culture?
Hey sh!t-for-brains, it’a PIECE OF FURNITURE!
There seems to be a nation wide biggest-idiot-governor contest
That will help ! Thanks Gov!
See how much better that made everything?
They are just a reflection of the people who vote for them.
Glad to hear - this has ended systemic racism.
Oh, wait, you mean that didn’t end racism? Next!
