Oh Say Can You See (Jeep Commercial)
Twitter ^ | 01-31-2019 | One Republic

OneRepublic and Jeep have extended their relationship with a new Super Bowl commercial, which the automaker has released ahead of Sunday's big game.

The ad is called "More Than Just Words," and it's described as a "illustrative narration" of "The Star Spangled Banner." We see Ryan Tedder and the rest of OneRepublic entering a recording studio, where Ryan starts to sing, "Oh say, can you see." Each word he sings is illustrated by an image -- for example, as he sings "can," we see someone opening up the pull-tab of a soda can. When he sings "see," we see a woman looking around a city at night time.

From the 2019 Super Bowl.

One of the best Super Bowl commercials ever. I worry if America will ever hold this level of patriotism in high esteem again.

“I worry if America will ever hold this level of patriotism in high esteem again.”

We will. The hatred is coming from a relatively small minority cheered by the scum media and scummier social media. They do not represent how the vast majority of us feel about our country. Corporations have been cowed to toe the social justice line though. That needs to change.

“I worry if America will ever hold this level of patriotism in high esteem again.”

America, or what comes out of this stupidity, will. Guaranteed.

We are already seeing what isn't/who aren't held in high esteem anymore.

-Government
-Political office holders
-Media and media personalities
-Sports figures
-Universities and academic faculty
-Bureaucrats
-A large number of entertainers
-Pundits
-’Activists’

And the list is growing.

Hard working people have dreams, love their children and their families, and want the best for them. They also want to help prevent suffering, and give charitably to help prevent it. They are NOT the enemy. The enemies of America are those who are actively working to destroy it.

Me and you do :)

And everyone else here I would think.

Just because they’re louder and more childish with temper tantrums doesn’t mean there are more of them.

God Bless America!!!

I’ve been a Jeep guy forever. Just bought a Gladiator. There are exceptions, but as a rule we’re freedom loving conservatives. I got kicked off of a Facebook group for a joke picture of my AR mounted on my garden tractor. One Jeep group I’m in had a thread about what gun you keep in your Jeep. Some pretty cool hardware including one guys picture of his Gatling gun in the back.

Politics aside, Jeep is putting out some nice looking designs lately. Not sure about their quality.

I really like the new Wrangler but am worried about mechanical reliability, of the auto trans as well as the Fiat-derived engines. WhIch engine did you order, which transmission, and what has been your experience with them in your new Gladiator pickup?

I admit I like the look of the Gladiator but am a vintage AMC and Willys guy.

My CJ7 chassis should be back from powder coat next week.

I need to order the pedal shaft and related for my Willys.

The rebuilt steering box came back a couple weeks ago.

One of my favorites. My stepdaughter and her husband are currently building a CJ7 for her.

Originally the CJ7 wasn’t meant to be taken down as far it has.

The Adrain Monk mindset I have about rust, corrosion, and the like got to me.

When the powder coat guys came to pick up the chassis, I got them to look at the tub. They agreed with me that it was in overall very good condition. A few touch up welds and a couple patches would suit them and me. Budget willing maybe next month a blue powdered tub. Major body work is mostly complete.

I also have a pile of surplus I6 parts since I acquired a 304 that looks viable. A few nibbles on Craiglist. I’m tired of tripping over it and the transmission.

I’ve been touching the long languishing K5 since I’m on a hold pattern of sorts. Right now, preservation and powdercoating of some parts.
