A most iconic Muppets has been found in the tropical rainforest of Costa Rica.
Here’s a surprise for those who loved the Jim Henson’s The Muppets.
Scientists have discovered a real-life Kermit the Frog who lives in the rainforest of Costa Rica.
It still has those iconic, white bulging eyes even though it may not be as big as the muppets version of Kermit as it’s only an inch long.
his frog is scientifically named as Hyalinobatrachium dianae and joins 13 others Costa Rican species of glass frogs in real life.
H. dianae had evaded biologists until a few specimens were collected by scientists with the Costa Rican Amphibian Research Center despite its bright-green skin and bulging white eyes.
