Nick Cannon: Now Black People Turned on Me!!! After Apology to Jewish People
TMZ ^ | 7/17/2020 8:27 AM PT

Posted on 07/17/2020 12:43:57 PM PDT by Red Badger

Nick Cannon is at his wit's end over his anti-Semitic comments and his apology for them -- he clearly feels he's in a no-win situation, and now some fans are concerned about his well being.

"The Masked Singer" host let his frustrations out Thursday night, saying ... "I hurt an entire community and it pained me to my core, I thought it couldn’t get any worse. Then I watched my own community turn on me and call me a sell-out for apologizing."

He added ... "Goodnight. Enjoy Earth."

An hour later, he followed that up, tweeting ... "Y'all can have this planet. I'm out!"

As you know ... Nick came under fire for pushing anti-Jewish rhetoric on his "Cannon's Class" podcast, which resulted in ViacomCBS dropping him. Instead of apologizing, he initially stuck to his guns and was defiant.

But he changed his tune after a discussion with Rabbi Abraham Cooper, and posted a lengthy apology for his "hurtful and divisive words."

Nick's frustration is clear from his Thursday night tweets -- after initially getting backlash for the anti-Semitic remarks, he's now getting backlash for apologizing. It's interesting ... you could read the apology backlash as a reflection of just how much anti-Semitism there is out there.

Some fans online took Nick's tweets as a sign he might harm himself.

As we reported, Nick had a follow-up face-to-face meeting with Rabbi Cooper Thursday night, but the social media trolling is obviously weighing heavily on him.

Small isolated incidents (never mind how common Indians fought each other and DID massacre whites).

There are no more Delaware or Susquehano. They were killed off in a single night, having cheerfully entrusted themselves to what they believed were fellow Christians, and allowing their hands to be bound “for their own safety”. There are no more Osage. They died wealthy, but left no heirs, unless you count whichever robber baron profited from their demise.

Indians massacred whites, all right, but deliberate genocide is no “small isolated incident,” and while Indians did massacre whites, there were still plenty more whites around afterwards. The same cannot be said for the Delaware, the Susquehano, or the Osage. Granted, Col. Chivingston failed to annihilate the Cheyenne, and Senator/Chief/Judo expert Charles Nighthorse Campbell has not given us cause to regret that fact. But Red Lives Matter, too, and facts are stubborn things.

Don’t start with that. All lives matter. Uncapitalized.

(Of course, latter can be argued, too....did Hitler living matter to you?)

Again, many logical questions are raised, and sometimes it DOES seem we are being told some lives matter much more than others based on who gets all the press and sympathy. And shamed for it, too, even when it does not involve us.

Again, one of those questions is, “is it better to kill anyone randomly equally, or to target groups”? Sophie’s choice?

Sorry. You have to start with that. The lives of people whose murderers were not punished matter more than the lives of people whose murderers were. The Teton Sioux, Roman Nose among them, were hung for their deperdations. Colonel Chivingston was not. Shepherd was a local hero for annihilating the Delaware, and he had many accomplices.

But I grow less and less convinced that Chauvin was really deliberately murdering George Floyd, as is alleged, and if so, he should not be punished and should get his job back if he still wants it. If BLM lynches him instead of accepting that after a trial, George Floyd is no longer a martyr, and BLM is officially on a par with the KKK.

You make some good points.

Hey, is there any terrific run-down of history on Indian tribes?

One thing I never quite got was the whole Cherokee thing. Of course in school, we were taught to think how awful it was, etc, but basically I still thought “so what? Always crying about whites and probably the fact was they were a big threat to the new power.” Then I find out they were basically adapting to the European way and living amongst us. THAT in particular I find offensive...Jackson et al got rid of people who were trying to fit in. Of course, now, Unionists don’t like to find out that Cherokees we’re fighting on the south side in the CW. Ruins the racist narrative.

I have no doubt you are right about Floyd. But that’s true of every “racist case”. The Whole premise that it was white racism that killed some black thug is bogus. Only if there is solid proof, but it’s always assumed! It could be he doesn’t like the individual person, or he is just a bad cop, or even just an overzealous cop who screwed up. But oh no, it MUST be endemic racism because white cop/black victim.

Most Cherokees tend to be Baptists these days. They have their own writing system, were one of the “Five Civilized Tribes,” and Davy Crocket was opposed to moving them. Yeah, they fought on the side of the Confederacy. I guess they’ll be tearing down Sequoiah’s statue next. I used to be very into Indians. Wanted to be one as a kid. Read Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee almost to the end. Dee Brown’s a pretty thorough historian, I think. My view these days is, I no longer believe we should give back Chicago to the red man. There were some unmistakable acts of deliberate genocide against them, and no remedy. The Delaware don’t get to start a chain of casinos. Life is sad. What can you do. As Spinoza says, “where there’s no solution, there’s no problem.” But if you see a member of the Crow nation lolling around in a drunken stupor in Minneapolis, and he asks you for a quarter, don’t throw it in the mud. His hat is right there on his crossed legs. And don’t feel bad for the Navajo. They’re doing OK. Chiricauhua Apache were scary f@#$ers who gave as good as they got. Wish I could learn how to fight like that. Too bad about that guy Ira Hayes.

Funny thing about “racist” depictions of ethnic groups.

My mother, born the day the Hindenburg blew up, thought Indians were brave and honorable thanks to those “racist” images on movies and kids serials. She knew they could be fierce warriors and brutal, but also trustworthy. To her it was an honor to be an Indian.

Then they tell us all this representation is just mean-spirited racism, but that wasn’t what she got out of it.

These days so many paranoid liberal people don’t want any representation at all. Look at the Aunt Jemima, etc. some black folk are afraid they’ll lose any depiction at all and basically be non-entities, unworthy of representing anything good.

So many of their most moving signal songs and spirituals are inspired by the Children of Israel in Egypt. I have always felt proud of that fact. But living face to face and across the street from blacks in the Chassidic community of Crown Heights, you see things that don’t happen on TV. I’d say many blacks have great affection for Jews, but at the same time many more resent their Jewish landlord, the Jewish grocer, the people they bump into on the sidewalk. Jews, for that matter, constantly apprehend trouble from every black person who gets on the subway, sometimes with good reason. In NYC, Jews and blacks are frequently neighbors, and relationships get complicated. We see too much of each other. Know each other too well and not well enough.

Then the Lord said to Abram, “You can be sure that your descendants will be strangers in a foreign land, where they will be oppressed as slaves for 400 years.
