WTNH reports Police have arrested a man Thursday in connection to the beheading of the Waterbury Christopher Columbus statue outside City Hall on July 4. Brandon Ambrose, 22, of New York, turned himself in to the Waterbury Police on Thursday morning. He was arrested and charged with criminal mischief, desecration of property and larceny.

Looks like an arrogant hate-America hate-Whitey idiot. But tell me, how is what he did different from the MAYOR of the town ordering a crew to come in and throw the statue on the ground, breaking it up, and taking it away in a truck? NO difference. If this kid committed a crime, so did the mayor.
The law is the law, and it applies equally to all.

Since the accused is from New York (assuming NYC here) and the offense occurred in Waterbury CT, maybe a properly motivated federal prosecutor can hook him up with some sort of “crossing state lines to engage in criminal activity” -type charges.
