Pollster John McLaughlin: Media Surveys Deliberately Underplaying Trump Voters
Newsmax ^ | 07/19/2020 | Brian Freeman

Media polls are deliberately underplaying Republican voters by as much as 9% to give the false impression that President Donald Trump is well behind in the race for the November election, Trump pollster John McLaughlin said on Sunday. Speaking on "The Cats Roundtable" radio show on WABC 770 AM hosted by John Catsimatidis, McLaughlin explained that "The media is polling [all] adults. Not likely voters. If you poll likely voters, like Rasmussen did, where you use a model of actual voter turnout, Republicans, who vote over 90% for Trump, will be one-third of the poll. They were 33% in the exit polls in 2016. When you do [all] adults, there aren't as many Republicans because any adult in the United States could even mean… non-citizens could be in that poll because they're randomly calling cell phones and landlines."

Back in 2016, a bunch of us spent hours and hours explaining to the pearl clutchers around here why the polls were wrong.

We explained that blacks who turned out for Obama would not turn out for Hillary, and we explained what that would mean in key states.

We explained the polls over-sampled Democrats.

We explained the polls were used to influence opinion rather than reflect it.

We explained that Donald Trump would win the electoral college even if he did not win the popular vote, so national polling was irrelevant.

Yawn....

To rebut the article's claim that likely-voter polls showed no significant Biden lead.

So in fact I was right, you were touting the narrative that the polls were not only accurate but honest.

Your functional illiteracy persists. Run along, ignoramus.

Yeah, and the same conditions exist with Biden, but poor Jim Noble keeps wanting to dance around that fact. He is once again pearl clutching by providing a link to polls by the same influences playing the same game. Yet he calls me names using the same Democrat tactic of trying to project his foibles of in the art of understanding what is happening with the polls he linked to in his attempt to “debunk” the article and attempting to confirm that Biden does really lead among “likely voters”.

I am very optimistic about this election (more than 2016) because the low information voters have not had a chance to meet the new senile Joe Biden—they think he is the same guy that he was eight years ago since the DNC and the mass media have been hiding Joe in his basement.

When the Trump campaign gets finished with introducing the new Joe Biden (aka the “other” Joe Biden :-) ) to these voters in October, I am convinced a comfortable majority of these low information voters will play it safe and vote for the incumbent President.

Jim Jim Jim, that is exactly what I said only I framed it from a different vantage point. That you provided the link to show that Biden does lead among "likely voters". That you believe the polls, you provided, are accurate and honest. Whereas, you say to debunk the article posted regarding the claim that Biden doesn't lead when "likely voters" are polled. I bet you were totally surprised that Hillary lost in 2016, because you believed the polls being generated then that showed Hillary had a commanding lead and that there was no path to victory for now President Trump. Only a true fool keeps being snookered with the same baseless lies hoisted upon the American public to sway the gullible, like yourself, to fall for fake polls often referred to as push polls. Their intent is to discourage those who believe what they state in hopes of discouraging turn out for President Trump come election day.

Perhaps you believe the Lincoln Project Never-Trumpers as well?

Your attempts to project your obvious mental shortcomings upon me has zero affect. You can call me whatever you want. It doesn't faze me in the least. I guess we will know come Nov. 3rd. Until then, keep pearl clutching.

Do you believe in Global Warming and that mankind is the cause of that? I mean after all, it's settled science so the "scientists" and the press claim. I actually know people who have lied to the pollsters, because they find it amusing knowing that they lied to the pollsters.

I'm willing to bet that we agree on more than we disagree on. This is just one where we do disagree.

I'd like to say it has been a pleasure debating you, but then I really would be lying. You're a bore, because you keep saying the same thing, only you are incapable of grasping that because it is framed differently than how you state it. But the fact remains, that I was right on all accounts regarding your motivation for the link you provided, along with your belief that the polls are accurate and honest. You keep proving that I am right.

I think he has increased the black vote, and I do not know any women that voted for Donald Trump in 2016 that will vote for Biden now. Suburban women that they claim are for Biden will vote for President Trump because of civil unrest, for the sake of their children. Many of them will lie and say they voted for Biden perhaps, out of fear. Strange things happen when they enter the voting booth and know they can cast their vote one way but claim they voted another way and not pay a price for it. While I am confident, I am never over confident. I will drag myself from my deathbed if necessary to vote to reelect President Donald J. Trump. 8>)

I think you have it about right, we are down but not as much as the MSM polls, we can’t just assume Trump will pull out another miracle. The good news is Trump has a new campaign manager as IMHO Brad Paracale, a Kushner pick, was a disaster. How do you brag about having 1 million tix for Tulsa rally when ALL of Tulsa is 400,000. He got had, made Trump look bad. Not to mention letting Trump get tagged as racist by putting out “ when looting starts shooting starts-ok maybe can’t control Trump but he could have put out how USA is against all bullies/tyranny whether it is is at an individual level or mob level.

I click on each poll that comes out.

Then, I click on methodology, within the poll.

Every poll, I’ve seen is overweighting Democrats between 7 to 11 percent. Each one.

The new ABC-WashPost Poll recognized that people who understand polling are on to this. So, now they don’t even show the Dem/GOP/Ind breakdown and weighting.

LOL. Trump is going to win.

Been stories of folks being called for a poll being “mysteriously cut off” if they represent as republican/Conservative/Pro-Trump.

They smother the truth of overwhelming Trump voter enthusiasm which has shown itself as being more than 30 points higher in at least three surveys starting with the June 4 ABC/Wapo survey showing Trump voters 69% enthusiastic and Biden voters 34% enthusiastic. That link has since been taken down. The most recent measure of enthusiasm was found in the British newspaper (forgot the name) survey showing the gap at 34%. It makes little difference when a vote want to winif that voter won’t actually vote. The danger here is mail in voting. That problemwill be solved. I trust Trump will solve it.

By now even the cows know you’re wrong. Demand a refund from the grade school you attended.

Keep clutching your pearls Jim. You are such a superb debater, did you earn your skills while working at MacDonald’s? Your communication skills are sorely lacking creativity as well.

The pollsters are under representing the most energetic voters? Odd to say the least.
