COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio Governor Mike DeWine is asking the Ohio Board of Pharmacy to stop a new rule that prohibits the selling or dispensing of hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine for the treatment or prevention of COVID-19.

DeWine said in a statement Thursday that prescribing hydroxychloroquine should be decided between a doctor and a patient.

“that prescribing hydroxychloroquine should be decided between a doctor and a patient.”

Whoa! Maybe we’re not ready for something that radical

This is ridiculous that they don’t allow the TREATING DOCTORS to decide if this is appropriate. If it’s so horrible as the media says, no doctor is going to prescribe it.

Looks like someone used the "L" word.

Does L = lawsuit?

I think Dewine realized {after a call from Trump} that HCQS works and he better at least become neutral.

Dewine will become a hero if he insists that the health department changes their rules, after they will again balk at his "suggestions".

He is a eunuch, {unix} BUT, he wants to get re-elected and while he still has two years to go, Ohio citizens that have friends/relatives that might die because he wouldn't allow HCQS, have long memories and large megaphones.

Since when are Pharmacist’s considered Licensed Medical Doctors?

Are they required to Graduate Medical School as well as Pharmacy School?

When hydroxy is given EARLY, it can prevent you from getting the virus and getting symptoms that can lead to death..if you are already in late stage with this virus, nothing will help..hydroxy MUST be given EARLY..but the commie media(Who all have the drug in their medicine cabinet but refuse to say anything good about it because Trump said its good and orange man bad) have allowed THOUSANDS of people to die because of their hatred for this President

Moving to the logical conclusion, a group of Doctors can pool more money to sue the Pharmacists that Pharmacists can pool to sue the Doctors.

Combine that with the obviously superior argument the Doctors will have over the (unknown) argument of the Pharmacists, the Pharmacists best move is to back off and claim they are conceding to the request of the Governor.

If my doctor of choice refused to offer a treatment based on politics I would drop him like a hot potato.

take the board to court and prove that HCQ is so deadly that it should not be given in prescription form for anything- make them prove it is more4 dangerous than the myriad of far far more dangerous drugs allowed every day in then country-

then announce a lawsuit for putting people’s lives in danger when they can’t prove that HCQ is too dangerous to be given out to save lives during a pandemic

I heard in the night that there are 43 states that have a ban on HCQ...Ohio was the only state that made the ban public.
