The Torricelli Switch Pool Thread.
Background: Back in 2002, NJ Senator Robert Torricelli was headed for defeat. He was corrupt in a particularly oily and obnoxious way, which was unacceptably offensive, even to New Jersey voters, which is saying a lot.
On October 30, 2020, Torricelli dropped out of the race, long past the ballot closing deadline, and the NJ Democrat Party sued in the NJ Supreme Court to be permitted to substitute another name on the ballot. Eventually they prevailed, and the Democrats nominated retired NJ Senator Frank Lautenberg, who won by a large margin.
The Rules:
Pick a date and time. Closest to the actual date of the official announcement that Joe Biden is withdrawing from the race wins. No Price Is Right rules. Closest over or under wins.
Tiebreaker: Pick the person who will replace Biden on the ticket, after a long protracted legal struggle which will end when John Roberts knifes the Republican Party in the back... again!
Winner gets bragging rights in perpetuity.

Tie Breaker: Michelle Obama
October 5, 10:20 Eastern time.
Tiebreaker: Hillary Clinton.
Joe will have a medical emergency and pass away on Sept 5. Michelle Obama will bravely step up and take his place.

The announcement will come on October 2nd.
REASON: October 4th is thirty days out from Election Day, making a “reasonable” legal recourse (and most of the Mercul Peepul are stupid enough to accept it). But the announcement will be on the 2nd, which is a Friday, and will thus be part of the weekend news dump, allowing the MSM to focus-group the event.
TIEBREAKER: Since it must be a black-female, but the current field is too wide to call but there are specific names being vetted, I’m going with Rice.
Friday, September 4, 8 pm: nomination completed, so Bernie-bots neutralized; late Friday, so similar to Friday night news dump to bury inconvenient coverage for Democrats, plus it’s the Labor Day weekend, so they get a one-day extension on minimal coverage.
Early enough in the electoral process so that the shills in the media have enough time to build up the new stooge the Dem elites put in place.
Tie breaker: Wesley Clark - reliable Clinton flunky; military background provides cover for socialist stupidity.

The way it’s worked in the past is that the courts have agreed that the “vote” is for the party “slot.” In Presidential elections, you are voting for the electors, so the elector can vote for the Party nominee is the state allows it. The states decide how to assign their electors. The Dems will have this all set to go with rules that can be pushed through in the last minute.
