There’s a huge anti-hydroxychloroquine force working against it being used because it works. I don’t know how this force can be countered but if I had a million dollars I’d set up a control center to find out.

Lupus and RA patients take HCQ on a regular basis. I have not read any stories about them getting covid. Maybe others have.
Probably the best place to check on the prophylaxis power of HCQ would be in malaria infested countries in the world.
India as a example has had 2.1 million cases of covid and 43,000 deaths.
With a population of 1.4 million did HCQ use as a prophylaxis keep the number of cases in India down to 1,500 per million population versus the USA which has had 15,500 cases per million population.
Even if HCQ fails the prophylaxis argument, then does HCQ reduce deaths for those who do get it. India has 31 deaths per million versus the USA has 497 deaths per million.
Totally true; indeed, hydroxy’s life saving efficacy is exactly why the DemonShits and their media accomplices so hate the hydroxy treatments. They desperately crave to do anything that will stop Trump. The COVID hysteria is the ideal thing because it’s shut down the great Trump rallies. Now, enter hydroxy, and there’s an effective, safe, cheap treatment for the disease that will make it no different than any other treatable disease, like flu, that can, and does, occasionally kill some people, but that’s no modern version of the Black Death. POOF! there goes all the justification for the lockdowns and other petty tyrannies that we’ve been harassed by, we can return to normal, the economy will start booming, and the Trump rallies will resume. IOW a total disaster for the DemonShits that they’ll do anything to prevent, including killing thousands of the most vulnerable Americans.
There was a survey in northern Italy in May that looked at rheumatoid arthritis and lupus patients who were on HCQ maintenance. Out of the total of 65,000 people, 20 contracted COVID-19 and none died. I haven't seen updates on this since May. But the COVID incidence in this group was 12x lower than in the general Italian population, and if you compared them with a similar age group it was an estimated 50x lower. And the death rate was zero. Seems pretty convincing to me.
But passing the prophylaxis test would be another great reason for ending the lock downs and getting politicians’ boots off our necks.
I have heard that some doctors are taking this as part of the study and seem to be doing quite well. I have also heard that there are a lot of doctors doing this for themselves to protect their families as not part of the study. It’s funny what you hear when you listen. Just sayin.
$20 a dose vs $30,000 a dose. Which will the Bolshies be able to bilk taxpayers?
My sister in law takes hcq for rheumatoid arthritis.
My brother got the wuhanvirus but she didn’t.
I think she also takes vitamins & minerals, including zinc.
So, yes, someone already on hcq didn’t get the virus.

See my post upthread, it agrees with that study.
Took awhile but my CL (not HCL) phosphate finally arrived from overseas. Will study it carefully to understand how it should be taken, if needed.

A friend of mine takes HCQ for RA; and tested positive for covid antibodies, without ever having any covid symptoms though.
Take oTC zinc with quercetin as a preventive.
