American Airlines on Sunday announced that it will allow their flight attendants to wear Black Lives Matter pins on their uniform while on duty. In addition, the company is also working to design its own pin that will show its symbolic support of a diverse and inclusive work environment.
Clearly we live in a time where it is so important to have a dialogue about this important issue of racism in our society and try to find common ground, AA wrote in a company-wide announcement. American is truly committed to having an inclusive culture that is welcoming to all and a reflection of our country and world. [ ]
But the announcement has prompted pushback from some of Americans staffers who have relatives who are police officers and view BLM as an anti-police movement.
I take offense to this, one flight attendant said to airline management in an email obtained by The New York Post. Serious offense. My husband is a LEO (Law Enforcement Officer), as was my deceased father and as far as Im concerned ALL LIVES MATTER. [ ]
Another flight attendant who spoke to Fox News said that if the BLM pins are allowed, then they will be wearing their Trump pin to show support for the commander-in-chief.

All of this will lead to terminations and legal actions requiring the airline to pay out the employees. It’ll flip it into a unprofitable operation and it’ll have to be rebranded or sold off in order to survive.
What’s all this controversy talk about BLM? Of course, bowel liveliness matters! Some of us have been around long enough to know!
;)
BLM = Bitter Little Marxists
Corporate pandering to commie rioters who couldn’t give a rats behind about actually improving black people’s lives... its a thing of beauty.
AA is trying to appear more inclusive to the terrorists they ferry from riot to riot across the country.
Black Leftist Morons ?
Really American Airlines? All airlines are going broke due to COVID-19 Scamdemic, and now you do things to turn MORE people away from your airline? Smart move /s
I’ve got visions of planes’ wings falling off the fuselage and onto the tarmac . . .
That’s no different than wearing a ISIS pin or T-shirt. They are all anti-Freedom, enemies of Individualism.
On the bright side, they haven’t made them mandatory.
YET.
Imagine you’re a victim of BLM activists. They’ve destroyed your business or assaulted a family member. How would you react to an airline employee imposing their political views onto you? You’re a captive audience. Other travel accommodations may not have been available.
There are already videos of people harassing other passengers because of their political views. This will embolden them. It can get pretty intense.
Delta already has a BLM pin of their own (AA is still designing theirs).
Delta also flew a Black Lives Matter flag at their headquarters back in June.
A business should make it a rule - while on duty, no political positions. No Maga, no BLM, no LGBTQ. Especially for a business with a uniform.
LBM = Loose Bowel Movements
Not surprising. It was my last few interactions with AA that were in no small part responsible for my decision to never fly on airlines again, at least for any personal travel. Since that decision I have had to fly twice for work (pre covid) and both times I ensured I did not fly AA. For one trip I even drove to a neighboring city to take non AA flights from there rather than AA from my local airport. This kind of nonsense with blm pins underscores the problems with AA. Not only are they no longer customer focused, I’m not sure I would consider them as safe as other options. It is nearly guaranteed you will have some kind of issue with your flight. The last 4 times I used them (they were my go-to airline at one point) they went 4 for 4 with cancelations, delays, and subsequent missed connections.
When boarding a flight, nothing builds confidence more than the flight crew’s open display of support for a terrorist organization.
Just another reason to not fly if one has options.
While you’re at work just get us to where we need to be, please leave the politics out of it.
