In 2018, Andrew Gillum was a rising star in the Democratic Party as its nominee to be governor of Florida.

Nevertheless, Gillum referred to that photo in his conversation with Hall, which was previewed Thursday on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
“When that photo came out, I didn’t recognize the person on the floor,” Gillum told Hall in the ABC excerpt. “That was not anything more than a person being at their most vulnerable state, unconscious, having given no consent, and someone decided to use a moment where I was literally lying in my own vomit.”
Gillum soon entered a rehabilitation facility to receive treatment for alcohol abuse, the Herald story said.
In 2018, Gillum nearly defeated Republican Ron DeSantis for Florida’s governorship. By late 2019, his political organization, Forward Florida, was facing mounting legal fees because of a federal investigation launched for reasons that remained unclear, according to the Herald.
Since that March night, Gillum told Hall, he has cried “every day,” the Democrat reported.
But Gillum also said he remains hopeful of redeeming himself.

In my working career I noticed that men having affairs promoted other men having affairs. Pot smokers promoted pot smokers. Alcoholics promoted alcoholics. But, to be fair, men of good character and fine qualities also seemed prejudiced towards other men of good character and fine qualities. So, I suppose we are all prejudiced. Back to your point, you can’t become a high-powered Democratic politician without some significant baggage.
Well, Gillum has earned many of the liberal merit badges. It is the next logical step.
Thats a good post. But is it being prejudiced wanting someone of good quality and nature to be promoted?
Is it prejudiced to want a wife or husband that doesn’t sleep around or do drugs or drink until they fall?
to me prejudice is a white guy promoting a white guy even though some black dude is doing a much better job. And I think that happens very little anymore.

How many Freepers would ever hire Gillium to work for them? He is a poster boy of exactly how very thin the veneer is on many politicians. They appear to be something they aren’t. What Gillium does or doesn’t do to rehabilitate himself should matter only to himself. The voters of Florida that supported this reprobate are the real ones needing rehabilitation. They got conned to the nth degree. They should fall down on their knees and thank God that Gillium did not get elected. Gillium should concern himself with rehabilitating himself with God because Hell isn’t half-full yet.
A normal person would slink away into anonymity after such a public humiliation.
That would require humility, which Gillum seems to lacking.
And to think that this degenerate was, at one point, very close to attaining the Governorship of Florida.
