Crocodile in Thailand caught and cooked after brutal attack

Locals in Rayong's Muang district hunted, killed and then ate a two-metre-long crocodile on Thursday (September 17) after it brutally attacked another resident.

Yongyut Hararat, 52, was fishing in a canal when a crocodile suddenly pounced on him and bit off his right arm.

The victim was eventually saved from the reptile's death grip when his friends jumped in.

Yongyut, who was taken to the hospital immediately, was reported to be in stable condition.

The victim's friends, who hunted and killed the crocodile, said they decided to cook and eat the animal out of revenge.

Villagers believe the crocodile may have escaped from a crocodile farm nearby which has gone out of business.

Yeah. That’s why people don’t want them around.

“That is what wild animals do.”

And they were there first.

“I see they pixelated the croc to protect its identity.”

Maybe it was modesty.

Pretty much all animal meat is tasty when seasoned and cooked properly.

Would never eat dog meat however because to me, that is like cannibalism. I consider dogs on the level of humans in the larger context of the animal kingdom.

A crocodile - I would definitely eat.

One day you’re the predator, the next day you’re the prey...a good life lesson.

I remember seeing a story once years ago that, I think was in Thailand. Every fall half of a village would gather on one side of a rice paddy with pots and pans, the other half on the other side with clubs and burlap bags.

The pot/pan side would drive the rats to the other who would kill an bag the rats.

Then they would feast on grain fed rat.

I was given a single deep-fried mountain oyster (bull/steer balls) by my uncle and dad without them telling me what it was. I had helped my uncle round up those young bulls, running them down the chute so he could take of their early horns and their testicles. The following weekend, they prepared a few at a get together.

I asked what it was (I was maybe 12), bit into it, saw what looked like “worms” (it wasn’t that, but vessels) and told them it tasted good.

They told me a little later that day what it was, but it was long gone down my intestine.

I did think it was good, but I couldn’t believe it was what it was.

That never leaves you. I would be willing to try it again just to see if it tasted similar. However, I want to be TOLD what it is and CHOOSE to eat them.
