This is President Trump's "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself" moment. (vanity)

This is the moment the Left receives the fatal blow. This is the moment the hero turns around, looks straight into the camera and declares “Fear has no place in our lives. We fight for what we believe in. We never give up. We face our enemy, we analyze, we prepare, and we take the might of the 350 million individuals that make up this country and we win.”

While the left is updating the President’s obituary, the NY Post published theirs:

"If the president bounces back onto the campaign trail, he will be an invincible hero, who not only survived every dirty trick the Democrats threw at him, but the Chinese virus as well. He will show America we no longer have to be afraid."

President Trump is doing just that. And it’s working. The outpouring of love – real honest to God love – for the President – has set so many of us free. We are grateful to our Warrior President for stepping in for us and taking on a minority of stakeholders who have everything to lose if we get to live the American Dream. It’s quite simple – we want to make the decisions that will lead to our success or failure, we want to make the decisions if we get up off the matt and continue fighting or not, we want to worship God openly and freely, we want to protect our families from intruders, we want to live our lives without interference. We think for ourselves and reject those who are failing miserably at trying to tell us what to think. They respond to our “insolence” by insulting our intelligence and agency.

From every corner of this country people are getting into the ring – you had our back President Trump they say – now we have yours. We have watched and supported you – many of us were afraid to take our fight public – the hidden Trump supporters, afraid that our cars and homes would be vandalized, unwilling to go into the public square and take on those who were calling us Racists, Xenophobic and every other …ist or …bic in the book. Our feelings are no longer hurt when a so-called good friend or relative calls us a racist – no longer hurt that they could think that of us – how could they think that – label us – we no longer care.

The left lost and does not yet understand. They succeeded in pushing many of us out of the public square. They argued that we are irredeemable – another word for soulless – they call us racists, white supremacists, they tell us that Martin Luther King Jr.’s “… judge us by the content of our character” was a lapse of judgement on his part and we were not the intended audience. They succeeded at shaming us – in true disputation style - they put us on trial – the defense goes first – the accused second. They demand that we defend ourselves without informing us of the charges – they then fashion the charges from thin air and misconstrue statements made to find us guilty of being irredeemable, of having no soul. We were caught in a web of lies and we were caught in a cycle of having to justify our actions. Many of us decided to stop engaging. We left the public square – it was not worth it. It was asymmetric warfare, and they control the public square.

This past Friday morning the unexpected happened. President Trump came down with Covid19. It is a JFK, 9/11 moment – we will all remember what we were doing when we heard the news. For many it was the first time we entertained the idea that President Trump is vincible – we could lose him. We could lose the guy who spends every waking hour fighting for us – fighting for our hopes and dreams – fighting for our right to pursue the American Dream – fighting for us to take our own risks and live with the consequences. And many more of us realized we really love this guy, like a family member, we really love him. And even many more of us realized that he has been pulling our weight. And even more realized it was time for us to get off our duffs and get out there back into the public square and pull our own weight and have his back. Not because we owe him in the sense of an obligation – no because we love him, and we know he loves us.

There is nothing that scares an ideologue more than when the wicked web they wove dissolves. When people stop justifying themselves and start acting out of love and certainty. It’s over.

Trump is coming out of this as the warrior he is, a little softer, a little more relatable, even a little humbler and yes, much much stronger than he even was before. He gets it .

We have nothing to fear. The outpouring of love and cascade of prayers going up to God asking for his speedy recovery is not only an expression of love for him – but a return to decency – a return to speaking one’s mind from the heart – a return to looking people squarely in the eye and saying this is how I see things – attack my character if you must – but I ain’t going nowhere, I ain’t backing down and I ain’t accepting anything other than civil discourse.

America found its heart – it’s strong and unerring – and it is what is going to unite us all.

President Trump is returning to the ring to fight for us, to fight for our country but this time we are all in there with him – we all have his back as he has always had ours.

Save your hero worship for Jesus.

NO man is worthy of it.

Any man willing to lead his people is worthy of being called a hero. Especially when faced with such diverse antagonism.

You may not accept it, but for millions who need reassurance, Trump has been that hero.

He showed that Covid isn’t always so serious. The left is angry that he’s recovering.

Nobody’s calling Trump God. Accusing conservatives of doing that is what liberals have been doing for five years running.

Since when has our fear of dying become greater than our zest for living?

“Nobody’s calling Trump God. “

Just how did you derive that straw man from what I posted?

Got this wrong sorry

they put us on trial – the defense goes first – the accused second.

I meant the accused goes first - the prosecutor second.

My apologies.

The man whom we believe is necessarily, in the things concerning which we believe him, our leader and director, and we look up to him with a certain degree of esteem and respect. But as from admiring other people we come to wish to be admired ourselves; so from being led and directed by other people we learn to wish to become ourselves leaders and directors. And as we cannot always be satisfied merely with being admired, unless we can at the same time persuade ourselves that we are in some degree really worthy of admiration; so we cannot always be satisfied merely with being believed, unless we are at the same time conscious that we are really worthy of belief. As the desire of praise and that of praise-worthiness, though very much a-kin, are yet distinct and separate desires; so the desire of being believed and that of being worthy of belief, though very much a-kin too, are equally distinct and separate desires.

The desire of being believed, the desire of persuading, of leading and directing other people, seems to be one of the strongest of all our natural desires. — Adam Smith, Theory of Moral Sentiments (1759)

Any man willing to lead his people is worthy of being called a hero.
Sounds like everyone " is worthy of being called a hero.”

I think ... having been suffocated by the extreme and unprecedented levels of vitriol from the other side...the pent up appreciation for the President is exploding. As people have been forced to be in hiding for so long...

Let us know when you’re leading the country and the free world and being persecuted as Trump has.

Your comparison to Jesus and your implication that the President was the object of worship rightfully due Jesus.

What “strawman” was it that you think I was attempting to knock down?
