As I’ve viewed here many times before:

“The Letters of Marque clause presupposes the private possession of Battleships”

I love shooting my AR so much I have two them.

I feel the same way. Very few circumstances where you need a rifle where the AR isn't a perfect choice. The only other gun that gives me the same feeling is a 1911.

Guess I better look into that. Maybe margabby kellygiffords can give me some pointers on how best to buy one. :-)

When that Second Amendment was written . . . we were talking about the likelihood that a person could purchase a muzzle-loading musket.

When the First Amendment was written, we were talking about manuscripts and manually-operated printing presses.

I always procrastinated buying spare parts for my AR as you should have a few spare parts. When I got my Covid check I bought a Springfield Armory Saint and 2000 rounds before the price sky rocketed. Killed two birds with one stone.

There are some AR's available online, but pricey.

Well I have two of everything:2 ARs, two shotguns, two 9mm but only one 22. I think 2 is enough on my budget.

And the ‘journalists’ would set type by hand.

Actually, full-auto is OK.

Those muzzle loaders fired all their ammo with a single trigger pull.

They intended us to be armed, at a minimum, like light infantry.

Bingo!

In the 18th century, ther term "arms" was universally understood to mean the weapons of a foot soldier or mounted cavalry.

"Armaments" described heavier naval or horse-drawn weapons like cannon and mortars.

National and State Parks need to have ranges added

And if whiners complain that the noise scares the ‘birds’, provide free suppressors.

Palmetto States Armory. Buy a lower then outfit it with 556 and 300 blackout uppers. I recommend 10.5 inch barreled uppers, so I have a PSA pistol lower.

The addition of suppressors to the c ongressional ban has always puzzled me, and even more so now that health is such a big issue. Is hearing not a health issue?

>>>And if ‘Dick Durbin Before He Dicks You’ was right, we could each have a cannon too<<<

70% if the Cannons used by the Patriots in the Revolutionary War came from Private Owners, many from the Merchant Ships armed with Cannons to protect them from Pirates.

... and fully loaded battle ships, and field artillery, and hand-grenades, and Puckle guns, and...

And yes, non-violent felons should have their full Rights restored once they have completed their probation requirements. Or do people still think that people like Wesley Snipes and Martha Stewart, who both committed non-violent felonies and served time, are "dangers to society"?

Ok... Maybe Martha... But I want at least one more Blade movie out of Snipes...

gunbuyer.com had plenty in stock last time I looked.

I just picked up an AR pistol last week. They shipped it to local FFL who charged $35 for the transfer.

Reasonable prices too.

Sort of... IF we wanted to participate in our various State militia's... they expected you to show up with at least Light-Infantrymen's load-out.

NO POWER was given to the FedGov, or to the States, to limit our RKBA in any way.

So... Battleships, fighter/bomber aircraft, full-auto, orbital coherent-antimatter death rays, ect... All the way up to John Wick's pencil...

Article I, section 8:

The Congress shall have Power...To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water;

So, not only can I have a battleship, but I will be able to capture enemy countries ships and land armies. If I have a cannon and want another one, all I need is a letter (or even email) of marque and reprisal and I'll go take Canada's cannon from them.
