The streaming service Spotify removed an episode of podcaster Joe Rogan’s show on Wednesday after outcry over his Tuesday interview with Infowars conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.
Social media users began noticing the removal just after 10:00 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday. The episode — #1,555 — was conspicuously absent from Spotify’s list. The preceding episode, #1,554 with rapper Kanye West, and the following episode, #1,556 with Intercept co-founder and journalist Glenn Greenwald, were still active.

Joe Rogan = sucker.

I was thinking of getting Spotify premium but now I won’t bother.
If I were Joe Rohan I would immediately schedule several more Alex Jones types and publicly announced that from now on he’s going to devote a large amount of his shows to those kinds of guests.
Spotify can either:
- have to delete a huge chunk of his shows and eat the loss or
- fire him and be liable for damages for violating his $100 million contract
The one thing he must not do is just take it. That would be tantamount to accepting censorship.....the heckler’s veto. No way. I’d burn it all down first.
I started watching it and got 9 minutes in before I had to stop.
Alex Jones talks like a guy on coke. Hard to watch.
I just checked and the interview is still there.
Rogan did “fact check” him at least once in the 9 minutes I watched.
Rogan is a good interviewer, IMHO.
Rogan is a charismatic and lovable meathead, but he really seems very-very stupid in most things.
I have watched few of his videos and see him do things like entering a search term to the internet, ending up on some obviously dodgy site and then straight up taking everything he reads from there as gospel.
No critical thinking skills at all and that show was on a topic of martial arts, that he should be very familiar with!
Alex Jones is a freaking nut job!
You didn’t mention the fact check checked out. AT&T did lobby Trump through Cohen. Several articles pulled up about it. Multiple 200K payments to Cohen while trying to purchase a competitor for “insight” into White House thinking.
Jones does run at higher RPM’s than most, but he has been right a LOT. (Even the gay frogs... Research showed amphibians have been affected by all the birth control hormones in the water supply causing an inordinate number of hermaphroditic offspring.)
I am not an AJ fan, in fact I think he is a world class AHole, but give the devil his due.

Like I said, I’m only 9 minutes in. But I will watch the whole thing.
Maybe today at the VA. I have 3 appointments spread out over 2 1/2 hours.
Now we have to text them from our vehicles and they tell us when to come inside.
At one point, Jones was pleading with Joe to let him talk, but even then Joe kept interrupting and diverting Alex down rabbit holes. I found it very annoying and frustrating, because I really wanted to hear what Alex had to say.
Joe continuously fact-checked Alex in real time, and never was able to disprove Alex's facts.

The Veterans Choice program is better than Obama’s version. Obama reacted to the Phoenix VA’s problems of Veterans dying while waiting for appointments by throwing money at the VA and telling them to fix the problem.
I’m at a small VA so the problems are smaller.
It could be worse at larger facilities but I don’t know.
