One of the best examples I saw was on a traffic circle north of the Charles River in Boston. Harvard was directly ahead. MIT was just a little farther down the road. Harvard Business School could be accessed by going all the way around the circle and taking the bridge. Vanderbilt was a quarter of the way around the circle and away from the river.
There was a sign by itself on the circle with a single arrow. The sign said “TO SCHOOL”.

The last three signs, not exit, walk ends, and seat broken, are appropriate for people walking while being distracted by their cell phones.

OH, geez... now I want to print up a bunch of "THIS IS NOT AN EXIT" sings and run around with scotch tape just smacking them up in random areas.

I’ve said it for years:
The reason we’re in such bad shape is that they are putting warning signs on everything, and the idiots are surviving.
If you don’t know not to put your hands and feet under a running lawnmower, you probably don’t need to be having children.

Let’s build a gallows complete with rope noose and the whole bit including stairs and put up a sign reading, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES CLIMB THE STEPS, PUT THE NOOSE OVER YOUR HEAD AND PULL THE HANDLE! SEVERE INJURY OR DEATH COULD RESULT!
