So, I checked out thedonald.win after someone referred me to it on here hoping to spread a message of unity and conservatism but jeeez... All I got was abuse and fighting.
Are they children? Younger people?
F this, F that in comments to me. The don't like Rand much. Heck, I don't think they like anyone.
I know this is a difficult time but I tried to reach out and point out we're on the same side but it falls on deaf ears. I like FreeRepublic because it is a more mature place. Yes there are heated debates but I have never seen this place descend into what that thedonald forum has...
I did manage to get a "PARDON SNOWDEN" story nearly 600 upvotes so I was particularly happy about that despite all the hate and nonsense.
Sure there are good people there no doubt, just that I didn't feel very welcome which is a shame and I think hurts the cause more than anything.

It’s a younger crowd, and there are some sharp elbows for poor reasons at times. Not worth worrying about, to me. It’s still a useful site.

I know of several blogs and somewhat conservative websites that have been invaded and virtually ruined by posters just like that.
Suddenly, it is fashionable to have one person express an opinion, and have the following 22 posters waster their comments by beating up on this one person who expressed an opinion.
They will start off calling him a “Bot”, then a Troll, then someone trying to :”Gaslight” everyone. It becomes puerile and tiresome really quickly. I don’t care about beating up on some random poster, trying to get his mind right. I just want to talk about The Topic.
I have no wish to make dirty jokes about some poster’s Mother. Yes, this happens a lot these days. I don’t
participate in the ‘Dogpile’. I move on.
They were booted from Reddit and formed a standalone site.
It’s a wild place... that was my impression.
They were deplatformed by Reddit for being pro-Trump.
You don't walk into a biker bar and start looking for fag-off partners.
You need to know your audience.
it came from Reddit, which is full of younger generations. after the sub-forum was banned, they moved to the current site. and the nature of it being on reddit full of anonymous young kids, well, it is what it is.
there might be some older, wiser users, but there are also some ‘rebels’ who wants to be ‘conservative’ because it sounds ‘cool’ to them.
They eat nails and drink bourbon for breakfast. Good people over there.
That might explain the “Go back to reddit” comments I got.

Some of them seem paranoid and slightly unhinged.
A lot of them were Bernie types and Libertarians...but they red-pilled. We need those people, as we in the older generations didn’t do crap to stop the Left when we had the chance.
