Cancel Culture Intensifies

It may be too strong to say that a specter of uninterrupted disturbance of all social conditions is haunting the Western democracies, but two interrelated issues are cause for concern. One is the apprehension that the West is erasing too readily historical landmarks or individuals that are regarded as inimical to certain modern sensibilities or is downplaying past achievements while other factors are considered more important. The second is the emergence of a "counterculture" — not simply the lack of commitment to a common culture, but a modern form of ostracism removing or downgrading people, expressions, and ideas deemed offensive or problematic or not politically correct to particular groups or to social or professional circles.

Changes in culture in the U.S. may be illuminated or inferred from two recent events. One is the dilemma of the football team, the Washington Redskins, once the Boston Braves, presently known as the Washington Football Team until an inoffensive name is found. The other pertains to the symbolism of Winston Churchill. In 2001, the bust of Churchill was loaned by Prime Minister Tony Blair to President George W. Bush, who put it in the Oval Office. The bust was removed by President Obama in 2009 and was reinstated by President Trump in 2017.

A new development in Britain raises the issue of intellectual cultural amnesia or a lack of commitment to a historic culture. It stems from the decision of the University of Leicester, which issued an extraordinary statement denying that it was dropping Geoffrey Chaucer from its English courses because Chaucer was "too white." University plans had been revealed that he was being replaced by teaching modules on race, ethnicity, diversity, and sexuality. Such courses, a decolonized curriculum, according to university officials, would match students' own interests and enthusiasms.

They’re not revolutionaries if they’ve had the path of least resistance cleared for them and allowed to set up shop where they have. They were “cleared in hot” and it’s been burning ever since. They are always going to have their patented delusions of grandeur that they’re something really special. They think way too much of themselves and they need to come to that realization. These are still “the children”, who’ve been under the impression since they could walk, that they are the world and future, god’s gift to man and the genius offspring of the least appreciative generation of Americans ever (but don’t tell them that). However, they are absolutely oblivious to the fact that almost everything they’ve ever thought they did on their own is an illusion and perhaps a cruel joke (rhymes with ‘woke’) as well. This is the result of too much importance being place on mere appearances and not enough on substance. The content of their character(s) has been literally adulterated by liberalism, political correctness, groupthink and self-empathy, which gives them the idea that even their most unrealistic expectations are now within reason just because it is their expectation to have an inalienable right to enjoy the double standards that they are incapable of recognizing in their own reflection(s). Unfortunately, those of us who have been paying close enough attention can only hope to have this band of treacherous miscreants corrected before we bid farewell.

If it were up to AOC and the other members of the communist wing of the DemonRat Party, they’d do what Obama’s pals in the Weather Underground wanted to do...

Undercover agent Larry Grathwohl discusses the 1960-70s Weather Underground’s post-revolution governing plans for the United States...

Larry Grathwohl:

I asked, ‘well what is going to happen to those people we can’t reeducate, that are diehard capitalists?’ and the reply was that they’d have to be eliminated.

And when I pursued this further, they estimated they would have to eliminate 25 million people in these reeducation centers. And when I say ‘eliminate,’ I mean ‘kill.’ Twenty-five million people.

I want you to imagine sitting in a room with 25 people, most of which have graduate degrees, from Columbia and other well-known educational centers, and hear them figuring out the logistics for the elimination of 25 million people. And they were dead serious.”

Dig It. First they killed those pigs [ie, rich people/capitalists], then they ate dinner in the same room with them, they even shoved a fork into a victim’s stomach! Wild!

Not content with this rite of passage in Lefty World - where unrepentant terrorists are regarded as progressive luminaries, still working ‘only to educate’ - both Obamas tended to the relationship with the Ayers.”

Black Lives Matter [New York] leader states if US ‘doesn’t give us what we want, then we will burn down this system’

“[Hawk] Newsome told the host, “if this country doesn’t give us what we want, then we will burn down this system and replace it. All right?

And I could be speaking ... figuratively. I could be speaking literally.
It’s a matter of interpretation. ...”

Meanwhile, Mao Zedong, via his so-called “Great Leap Forward” and “Cultural Revolution”, is reported to have killed close to 70 million people!

Below, from Time Magazine, February 26, 2018

“[Patrisse] Cullors [CO-FOUNDER “BLACK LIVES MATTER”] weaves her intellectual influences into this narrative, from black feminist writers like Audre Lorde and bell hooks, to Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin and Mao Zedong.

Reading those social philosophers “provided a new understanding around what our economies could look like,” she says.

Some 70 million Chinese, along with countless Tibetans, Mongolians, Manchus, Koreans, Hmong, Uyghurs, and other nationalities, perished at his hands during his long and brutal reign.”

Bill Ayers, and his co-terrorist, revolutionary communist wife, Bernardine Dohrn.
Both were leaders of the Weather Underground.

=======================================

The “Black Lives Matter” movement is partnered with the nonprofit group, Thousand Currents.

This is important because the Vice Chair of the Thousand Currents nonprofit, is Susan Rosenberg.

In 1985, Rosenberg was convicted for possessing hundreds of pounds of explosives. She and her organizations involved in multiple robberies, police officer assassinations, and bombings.

Rosenberg was sentenced to 58 years in prison. She spent 16-years in federal prison before being pardoned by Bill Clinton on his last day in office.

Now, Rosenberg is leading the fundraising efforts for Black Lives Matter. ...”

The Left has found a convenient tool to tear down traditional culture. Using racism as the trigger, they can release their social justice troops to eradicate Western culture, which is apparently a hindrance to globalism.

I remember the statements back then on how many millions of Americans “they” would have to kill for not being reeducationable.

Since I knew I would be on their list, looking for the best “firepower” became a priority.
