Mount Etna, Europe’s most active volcano, continued to spew lava, ashes and volcanic stones on Thursday.

On Tuesday, areas surrounding the crater were secured but there were no reported injuries or deaths.

If a couple of good sized volcano’s erupt... Texas will be seeing snow for the next decade.
When I was in the USN, I recall going through the Strait of Messina at night on the JFK, and the underside of the cloud cover was glowing red reflecting the crater of Mount Etna.
IIRC, that passage was also notable because we had a guy jump overboard as we were transiting...the Strait of Messina is not conducive to Man Overboard maneuvers.
We always assumed the guy who jumped was trying to swim to shore and go AWOL.
They never found the guy...I guess that was just someone who needed to get ashore in a serious way.

LOL, actually, the lower slopes of the volcano...nowhere near the top. Still, hugely interesting.
LOL, I went to Sigonella once on a SH3, we had a plane that had to divert there and we went there to fix it...

That ash is like inhaling cut glass, very deadly.
That poor will be dead in a week, you would think their would be some kind of PSA.
I hope it doesn’t mess up the grapes. Etna Rosso is one of my favorites.
