Far-Left City Of Evanston, IL Becomes First City In America To Give Reparations To Black Residents…But There’s a Catch
According to the 2019 US Census– 16.5% of citizens living in Evanston, IL, are black. The far-left city is set to become the first city in America to dole out $10 million in reparations—but there’s a catch. Not every black Evanston resident will qualify for the $25K payout. The money used to pay reparations to some black residents will come from a 3% tax on the sale of recreational marijuana.
Black leaders warn it’s not enough. Evanston NAACP President Rev Michael Nabors says the $25,000 payout is a “drop in the bucket.”

Always a handful of “gimme” and a mouthful of “not enough.”
Slavery ended in 1864. Jim Crow ended i 1964.

Reparations is the racial resentment motherlode, which is the Left’s sustenance.
Catch: Must prove you were a slave in the 18th or 19th Centuries, after passage of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, and before certification of the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution on December 18, 1865.

No matter how much is paid, it will never be enough. So the best solution is to do nothing for them.
I wouldn’t approve a slavery reparations bill without an exclusionary clause saying that ONCE you accept “slavery reparations” you can never accept another slavery reparation from ANYONE ELSE at any other time, without proving a distinct and separate, contemporary personal incident of slavery. Only one bite at the reparations apple!

Evanston is named after John Evans, the minister of Indian Affairs at the time of the Sand Creek Massacre and one of the founders of Northwestern University. It’s only a matter of time before Evanston is on the hook for reparations for that little episode; those Northwestern students had better start increasing their legal weed consumption, as those reparation payments are only going to multiply - liberal guilt has no limits, especially when somebody else is picking up the tab.

Yep, I was talking about that with my brother, the only thing that might be satisfactory to them would be millions for each person and they would end up protesting if it was anything less. But is that going to stop brain dead Biden and his puppeteers? Hell no, only a matter of time before these lunatics start making promises and then they are going to find themselves in a hell of a mess when they find out nothing less than a million will be acceptable.
Good idea; I'd take it a step further. No more welfare after receiving a reparation payment. Justification? The idea is that they are in bad economic sorts due to the economic damage caused by systemic racism their ancestors. It has rippled all the way to the present day and is manifested in their low economic status. They have been paid due compensation for the harm done, so they no longer have reason to be on the welfare rolls.
What if I am half black? Or 1/8th black. Should we dig up the guides from those folks back in the 30’s who established your “quality of life” based on “how Jewish” people were?
Oddly enough all the prices in City of Evanston, IL shot skyward overnight ... strange ... what could have caused that?
It would seem the first guys in line are the Indians. They’d want to reclaim their 70-percent of the nation.
