The last time I listened to “today’s country” was in the 1990s. Looking for something different to listen to one day recently when I was driving, I tuned to the local station that plays that kind of music. I wasn’t paying close attention, but after about 15 minutes, I thought, “Wow! That’s a long song.” Turned out I had been listening to four or five songs that all sounded alike, and equally bleh. Pretty much pop rock sung by people with exaggerated “country” accents. I think I’ll stick with Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Marty Robbins, George Jones, both Hanks, etc.
Never heard of either one.
