The Biden administration is reportedly teeing up another massive economic spending package that's focused on child care, paid family leave and other domestic priorities.

The Washington Post reported late Monday that President Biden plans to unveil the American Families Plan, the second part of his multitrillion-dollar Build Back Better agenda, ahead of his address to a joint session of Congress on April 28. It comes just a few weeks after Biden released the American Jobs Plan, a $2.25 trillion tax and spending initiative that would make massive investments in the nation's roads and bridges, as well as water systems, green energy, hospitals and elder care.

The newest measure is expected to call for roughly $1 trillion in new spending and about $500 billion in tax credits, the Post reported, citing people familiar with the internal discussions.

Although details remain in flux, the proposal will likely be fully paid for with new tax increases aimed at wealthy Americans and and investors. Some tax increases currently under consideration include restoring the top marginal tax rate to 39.6%, where it sat before Republicans' 2017 tax overhaul, taxing capital gains as ordinary income above a certain threshold and eliminating the stepped-up basis at death, Politico reported earlier this week.

Final numbers are fluid, but spending in the American Families Plan may break down along these lines:

Why not? Throw dollars at everyone until people stop showing up for work. Federal Reserve have a printing press so there’s no problem at all.

Biden is floudering around. Every proposal is filled with massive bloated spending, or a massive power grab and sometimes both together. It's getting to be a pattern.

I expected them to do something like HR 1's massive power grab and expected them to focus on it, but it doesn't seem like they are able to focus as before. I can only pray that it continues.

They must be pulling their hair(s) out.

I guess he found some dollars that had gone unspent. Do they have enough printing presses to keep up with him?

We have a President who has no clear mind.. I know someone is telling him what to do so the dims are fine with this arrangement. But I’m NOT!!!

How can the republicans live with this!
How can the justice dept live with this!
How can the Supremes live with this?

Whether we like it or not, all..everyone is letting this happen and not saying anything contrary.
It is left to the citizens to fix this mess.. Then all Washington can go home..please go home.

I am so disappointed in that gov.. EqDtollem and dangerous!

I used to think this kind of stuff was just vote pandering. Except the Dems KNOW they have the future elections locked up.

So - my next line of thinking is that they are creating a problem so huge (inflation, debt, etc.) that only BIG GOVERNMENT action can fix it. (And that is where the power grab comes in.)

Why stop at 1-trillion....it ought to be a minimum of $10-trillion.

A Trillion here, a Trillion there, pretty soon it starts adding up to real money.

There are no future “elections”. Voting no longer matters.
Counting is in the hands of the communist junta. This spending is about tanking the American economy and the dollar as world reserve currency.

Then the totalitarians can take the country down the communist hell hole permanently.

Democrats are gonna do what democrats are gonna do.

Nothing in the economy is safe, the entire system is being destabilized.

The question is how are you going to protect yourself?

Start to minimize all debt
Stock market timing, but I think when it crashes it will be fast and swift.
Food storage/seeds
Indoor and outdoor growing capabilities
Junk silver American coins (recognized by most people)
Self-defense

This isn’t going to be a year long event, it is going to linger for up to a decade, along side whatever civil unrest is happening.

naah..its the UniParty trying to payoff everyone as their floundering and flopping around like a wet fish on a dock is getting pretty obvious to everybody.

Their last move, as electoral fraud issues are now starting to bubble to the surface... is to try to give away so much money to so many people in the hope nobody will be too highly motivated to attempt to do something about it
