Grossman is one of the most effective speakers on the effects of combat stress I have ever heard. His sheep/wolves/sheepdog analogy is right on.

He does indeed sound like someone the “sheepdogs” need to keep far away from our homes.
Never be the sheep and never be the sheepdog*.
*The sheepdog is taken outback and shot when they are not longer useful.
People who are really effective speakers don’t talke the kind of crap he’s guoted as saying here.

Agree: Debriefing is very important after a mission. He spoke to my Group at Fort Lewis. Very good training.
His other comments are just plain stupid

I worked extensively with hundreds of combat vets throughout my career. Never met one who said they had better sex after killing someone. Usually the contrary. He may be an “effective speaker” but so was the guy on late night infomercials.
