Yep, 55 units. This is almost half of the total 139.
The pile is actually larger than what is seen, because the lower garage are also collapsed. The pile above ground was about 40’ tall. Add the lower garage area and the real size is 50’.
12 stories is about 120’(10’/floor) plus lower garage is 130’.
After collapse, each floor is reduced to a little less than 3’total and figuring the cement floors in the equation, this leaves very little space for survivability unfortunately.
From what I have read, the North building is newer, and was maintained much better (they have a completely different HOA).
I think you mixed me up with someone else.
What’s interesting is... there is a) escaped b) accounted for which means some called in and said I own the condo but I am ok. Meaning I wasn’t there c) missing which means someone called in and said my relative lives there but we can’t reach them aka Probably dead. However no one talks about another category.. a bunch of these are marked as none of the above. Meaning no one called in anything. They think it’s likely they are folks who bought these condos to either money launder or somehow hide their assets. Any phone calls on these would shed a light on this practice. Looks like about a third of the condos.
I was curious if and or how many life insurance claims will be filled. Many of these owners have residence in S America too.
Most all residents were Jewish or south American.
North is one year newer.
