Story at a glance
- Christopher Murray said that vaccinated individuals may be contributing to the spread of COVID-19.
- As the delta variant becomes the most dominant strain, Murray posits that not testing vaccinated individuals may overlook possible transmission points.
- New data suggests that the delta variant may also be more resilient to the Pfizer vaccine.
As some states report marked upticks in COVID-19 infections while the delta variant becomes the most common strain in the U.S., public health experts are encouraging further vaccinations to help curb transmission.
Some experts, however, warn that vaccinated individuals may still be capable of contracting and transmitting COVID-19.
Speaking to Insider, Christopher Murray, the director of the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, said that not testing vaccinated people β as the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends β may be overlooking some transmission.
"We actually have states where hospitalizations are going up more than cases," Murray said, adding that "we're probably missing a bunch of transmission in vaccinated individuals."
National data notes that more than 30 states continue to see rises in the number of COVID-19 infections. Experts attribute this to gaps in vaccinations and the rise of the contagious delta variant.
While vaccines are beneficial in preventing severe infections, contracting the virus and transmitting COVID-19, vaccinated individuals are never completely protected against COVID-19. Breakthrough infections are possible, and the delta infectivity rate is still very high.
"That's the scary part," said Hugh Cassiere, director of critical care services at the Sandra Atlas Bass Heart Hospital at North Shore University Hospital, on Long Island, New York, to NBC. "Delta has such a high infectivity rate."
Other data emerging from Israel suggest that the Pfizer vaccine is less effective against infections caused by the delta variant, which may explain the uptick in U.S. infection despite widespread vaccinations.

No such thing as a WTF “variant.”
They’re just indexing the DNA sequence from a different starting point and pretending it’s “new,” just like the pretended Covid-19 was a “novel” coronavirus, when it was patented in 1999.
Fauci was trying to make an AIDS vaccine with it as the delivery system.

Almost 50% of the cases in Israel are in vaccinated people.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but is this the first time we’ve continued to test vaccinated people on a massive scale to see if they are infected with a disease they’re already vaccinated for? Maybe this is normal and the powers that be are just wrapped around the axle because they’re so invested in seeing negative tests rather than using hospitalized patients and deaths as a measurement.

” may be spreaffing”ean they have no clue nor a quarter to buy one!!
Many assumptions were made about vax efficacy. The problem with the analysis was the sharp, linear SARS downtown that precipitated the vax rollout — yes, it precipitated the sluggish rollout. The initial vax recipients were the medical administrators. Delivery to the general population was intentionally delayed according to the captain of Operation Warp Speed.
There is NO macro data that shows vax effectiveness despite the local, anecdotal reports.

So, not only do the vaccines NOT prevent one from catching the virus, but you might not even have the antibodies.
I was vaccinated ated and, guess what? No antibodies. I’m damn well not doing it again.

RE: I was vaccinated ated and, guess what? No antibodies.
1) What was the vaccine?
2) Were you FULLY vaccinated ( if it was either Moderna or Pfizer )?
3) Did you get yourself tested for the antibodies?

And, Israeli vax’d have a much higher hospitalization rate.

Yes. To begin with, in the history of PCR testing (or any viral and/or bacterial testing), we’ve never tested the sheer volume of people that we’re testing now. It’s never happened, nothing comes remotely close.
We do know, for certain, that in the history vaccinations, no vaccine is really 100% effective. Depending on the disease and its vaccine variants, we’ve definitely seen fully vaccinated people not only contract the disease, experience symptoms of the disease but also actively spread the disease going back to the first polio vaccine formulations.
But, in terms of vaccination distribution and testing, we’re are entirely in waters that have never been navigated both in terms of epidemiology, virology and vaccinology.

Itβs not protecting anyone because itβs not a vaccine. It just makes many sick and more susceptible.
Leave the m-RNA injections out in the cold a go for herd immunity.

Vaccine makers claim the vaccines are more effective at preventing severe wuhan coronavirus cases than transmisions.

they do not want to, because they will find most of the transmission is occurring by vaccinated people
