A recipe for vegetable soup has been shared by Sri Lankan Facebook users alongside a claim it will "cure" Covid-19 infection within three days. The claim is false: medical professionals said there is no evidence the purported remedy can cure Covid-19.

The text in the post reads: "This Soup recipe was taught by Wickramaarachchi indigenous medicine doctor. I gave this soup to all the neighbouring children when they tested positive and they were all cured.
"Radish, carrots, cabbages, pumpkins, beets - take them all in equal amounts and add 12 peppercorns. "Its okay to mix in curry leaves. Do not mix anything else. Even if you don't have corona drink a cup full of this. If you are a corona patient, drink three times a day for three days and the infection will end.

There actually was a Beverly Hillbillies script that involved the cold cure. Jed mentioned it to some guys who saw dollar signs. Toward the end of the episode, Jed describes the effectiveness - something like “You take this and then get plenty of rest and eat right, and in 7 to 10 days, your cold is GONE!”
Did it involve any “Medicine” ?
Reminds me of Granny’s special rheumatism medicine. It might not have been a cure, but it did make you feel better.

Soup is good food!
So every known/tried remedy for Covid has to be publicly denounced. Wow, those fact checkers need to get a real life!
I love vegetable soup. Especially when it has chicken or beef in it.

The biggest benefit of vegetable soup is that, unlike the poisons labeled COVID vaccines, it doesn’t flood people’s bodies with deadly spike proteins.
