Elon will just tap the Federal subsidy he gets. $137M? No problem...the taxpayers will pay the tab.

I just don't understand the hate you freaks have for Elon. He has done more to advance technology in many areas the any human currently on the planet. And for the most part he has done it with his own money. I guess haters gonna hate.

What I don’t understand is how the high tech cars can be based on a battery design consisting of only 7,000 AA penlight batteries wired together with all those single point failures.

The basic battery design is no better than what is in my 25 year-old cordless drill.

Touched a nerve did I? I am not anti-Elon or Tesla. They have received $2,441,582,590 in federal subsidies. Many other car manufacturers have as well. I am only pointing out that Tesla (and every other company with a federal grant or subsidy) will USE that money to pay off lawsuits, which results in the taxpayer footing the burden. I personally will never own an electric vehicle. I DO NOT CARE one iota if Elon is the savior of the world. I DO admire him for his space commercialization. That is spectacular and needed to be done. So get off your high horse and stop being triggered so much because someone has an opinion.
