Depending on how one reads the headline, it could be suggesting that “women” are not “people”?!
People with obesity? Didn’t they all die from covid?
Nothing new to anyone in the weight loss business. Or to anyone who tried to diet using Diet Coke as a substitute for sweets. Maybe news to NPR but that’s no surprise.
Ya think? Along with diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.
lol
What about beer?

Diet Pepsi with 2 Big Macs, good to go. /s
I’ve often smirk and shaken my in disbelief at all the “extra large” women I see eating Super Sized McDonalds value meals accompanied by a 44 Oz. Diet Coke.
The same thought always goes through my head: What the hell is the point?

Yeah I think something people basically already knew.
I thought that this was known a long time ago.
Hmmm...
I lost 50 lbs over last 7 months. Stopped the diet Mt. Dew.
Twice I started drinking it again and wham the cravings for junk food and sweets roared back.
Pure poison. Also noticed when I drank it again the joint pain and lethargic feeling came back overnight
Did you ever meet an obese person who didn’t drink diet soda?
Neither have I.
My sister gave me a case of coke zero she bought at Costco because she hates it and guess what I also hate it
There are plenty of fat guys doing the same thing.
Guys? Interesting enough, now that I think about it, no.
Beer leads me to nachos.
I can’t drink any soda EXCEPT the ‘diet’ ones. The others are too sticky-sweet.
