I assume #1 plays #4 in the first round and #2 plays #3. My predictions: (1) Alabama. (2) Michigan. (3) Georgia. (4) Cincinnati.

Using logical metrics, your number 1 and 2 should be swapped. However, I believe the committee will stick with Alabama. After all, when they lost to an unranked Texas A&M, and struggled with Arkansas, Auburn, and LSU, they remained number 2.
I’m game (pardon the pun). I say Alabama, Georgia, Michigan and Cincinnati.
Hail! to the victors valiant
Hail! to the conquering heroes
Hail! Hail! to Michigan
The leaders and best!

Hail! Hail! to Michigan
The champions of the west!

Texas A&M is currently ranked at #24 and #25. Auburn played five ranked teams and beat two of them.
I thought Georgia was unbeatable. I am an Alabama fan and still slightly in shock that they knocked off Georgia.
It is a big deal when you solidly beat the #1 team in the country (Georgia) in Atlanta.
In any event, I do not think they will make Georgia and Alabama play again in the first round.
Vegas gets who Vegas wants.
I’m surprised people still watch this shit.
Go untie a cleat.
I have the same.
My opinion is that whoever Cincinnati plays, Cincinnati will be badly embarrassed.
Michigan impressed me yesterday. Georgia was off/Alabama was VERY on, and Cincinnati, again was a bunch of d@mned show boats.
If you’re dealing with the win loss records then it should be cinc, mich, ga, ala. If you can’t accept that cinc is no 1, then mi, ala, ga might be defensible since ala beat ga.
Thanks for showing us you're just another typical elitist and "Blue" in your screen name is not surprising.
But kicked the sh*t out of Georgia......hmmm, irony, strange stuff. And ‘struggle’ is relative.
There really isn’t a final four, a number one, a number three etc. It’s just a committee decision... opinions. This is what Obama thought was so important. The only bowl system and not pretending it’s a national champion was far superior.
Big money, broadcasters and politicians ruin everything they touch.
At least OU isn’t going to undeservedly squeak into the lineup this year.
I predict the games will be very, very woke.
Obviously, the Grasshopper still has much to learn from the Master 😉…
I think you have it right. No way that the committee forces Georgia and Alabama to play each other again, and no way you make the team that beat a #15 team #1 over at team that did beat the reigning #1.
Cincinnati is #4 just because they’re undefeated. Their only ranked opponent was Notre Dame, so they’re a big fish in a small pond.
I think we should go back to ten games a year, no playoffs, and 9 teams claiming National Championships
The main rule is that wins and losses in the first half of the season are not as important as wins and losses in the second half of the season.
Also, football is a high injury sport. They play just one game a week, and most of the top players are playing with injuries or out with injuries by the end of the season.
There is also a new wrinkle in post season college games.
Each year, more and more players who are certain they will be drafted in the first couple rounds are not showing up for Bowl games.
Who can blame them? An injury in a usually meaningless Bowl game can result in millions of dollars of lost income.
