They hit the jackpot. I suspect there must have been some insider knowledge about what that driver usually leaves in his car. Most people aren’t so foolish as to leave such valuable mechandise in their auto.

The businesses have seen what’s been happening in Chicago for quite some time, yet they display very expensive items in a window case that can be easily broken into?

Does anyone remember the *store where shoppers shopped by catalog or display, turned in a number, paid, and THEN picked up? Everything was brought from the warehouse to the front. We will be going there if this keeps up.

*I think it was called Best Products.

It probably isn’t feasible, but GPS should have been buried inside the watches.

The latest thing in L.A. or Beverly Hills is an armed gang of street trash follows a victim driving an expensive car and when the victim gets home, the thugs attempt to rip off his/her car, jewelry or ransack their house.

While of course what the thieves did was wrong, I have little sympathy for anyone who has a watch stolen that is worth more than $500. You are just asking for it to get stolen. And there is no practical use in owning such a watch, or any kind of jewelry worth beyond a token amount.

Nothing inherently wrong with being rich, but in these lawless times, if you’re going to flaunt it, you better have good security.

Chicago, so even if caught it will only be a misdemeanor.
