There may be many positions, but only on salient truth - the vaxx IS dangerous with likely long term health consequences, while being basically worthless against the variants.

Bush1 dropped Reaganism as fast as he could, and was a 1 termer as a result. Bush2 appointed Cheney to bypass any friction of a quarterback controversy but he shoulda had Cheney resign in 2006 to appoint an heir apparent, hence we got the turmoil that was McCain then Romney. Trump1 appointed the disaster that was Pence. Trump2 needs to appoint someone who carries the populist conservatism message best, which could be DeSantis or Palin.
I used to think most here were politically savvy but it seems by the responses on issues such as this I was wrong.
For a politician (or if you prefer a person engaging in politics) to oppose the vaccine would be used as an excuse to paint him as pro virus.

Freedom of choice is only “irrelevant” to those who chose unconstitutional government coercion over constitutionally-protected individual freedom.

The Desantis remarks you’re referring to were made in July of this year. It is now December, so follow the science. That was five months ago. A lot of water has gone under the bridge since then.

This whole vax issue is about freedom of choice and unconstitutional government mandates. Trump is against the mandates and he is free to vax or not as he chooses. So are you and I.
Why are so many confused about that?
It is outrageous that our government does not want to give us full information on these so-called vaccines so that we can make fully informed decisions. It is tyrannical.

How anyone can watch this interview and still unconditionally support Trump is a mystery. Or maybe it’s not a mystery.

Trump is not anti-Vaxx, he is anti-mandates. There is a difference, and I stand with President Trump.
If you watched the Owens interview you will see he did more than double down.
The video poster is correct that there is not a lot of new information about Trump on getting vaccinated or his support of deploying the vaccines… But Trump was much more bolder and clear on the point and ventured out a little bit to see how MAGA would treat it. That’s the other theory that I have not yet proven and that is he simply involved in test marketing, he like many other politicians floats these balloons to see if they’re shut down or not and he wants to see to what extent he could support the vaccines without damaging his political base, and for what reason that is I’m not sure, unless he thinks that there may be historical recriminations down the line at the massive amount of deaths under his and Sleepy Biden’s watch, he’s always been one of extreme self justification and has never apologized for anything. That could also be no doubt that adversarial would want to drive wedges but that may be very limited in effect, but we shall see.
