Also, I thought thenfl was big on psychological evaluation. Or is that only when their drafted?

I hope it’s not CTE.

Maybe you had Rodman confused with Scottie Pippen.

He’s done, toast, fired…as an NBC commentator just said, “He is a phenomenal Football Player but a terrible human being….”

They do like their psych evals. But it’s the crazy/ hot matrix, enough raw talent (and lets face it, Brown’s got a LOT of raw talent) makes teams ignore the crazy and go for it anyway.

Tom will cut him loose professionally. He will do whatever he can personally.

Tom showed that he can win with anyone who can run a route.

What was interesting to watch today was how the rest of the team responded to each play. Like him or not, but Brady elevates everyone on the field. He has been a pleasure to watch.

Exactly. Brady wins because he elevates the guys he plays with. It even worked with AB for awhile.

Funny how Brady is doing so well this year they aren’t even talking about his age.

“Tampa bay just fired him”

Football players can go out and beat, rape and kill with impunity. But have a tantrum (or psychotic break) on the field and that’s a firin’.

Mac is the new girlfriend. He might even be marriage material.

But Tom is the love of your life…and always will be.

I’ve been a Pats fan since the early 70’s.

“makes teams ignore the crazy and go for it anyway”

Only to a certain extent considering he’s on his own to get back to Florida from. NYC.

Latest is he won’t be flying home with the Bucs since he isn’t one anymore.

But they signed him, even with all the crap. They went for it anyway.

Well he did help them win one Super Bowl, so it may have been worth it.

Over the last couple of decades a few programs/coaches seemed to have a way of taking the problem kids and getting some decent play out of them. The Patriots and Cowboys were two of them. Maybe it was a simple talk, like... Antonio you have one last chance and we’re it. You screw this up and you’re out of football forever. Just play the game, do your best, make your money and you’ll be successful here.

And it worked, for the most part. With this, he has to be done. I don’t care if he’s bipolar or whatever. God gave him some unbelievable talent and the genetics to use it, eff him for not taking advantage of it.

I wonder if they will play him again or cut him loose. He’s obviously has some Mental issues.

The coach already said that Brown is gone, they won't even let him on the plane back to Tampa.

Give me a break.....If Tomlin was White, he’d have lost his job already.

I admittedly don’t know jack about the nba....I just remember that story about Rodman being found sitting in his car in the arena parking lot middle of the night with a loaded gun in his lap...just siting there...that always smacked of mental instability to me.

Or Pittsburgh is just really loyal to head coaches, only three head coaches in the last 50+ years.

Was Brown po’d before he went to the sideline?

If not, did he take a call, get some news he didn’t like?

No he wouldn’t have. Of active coaches with more than 100 games he has the 2nd highest win percentage in the league. Both regular season and playoffs. You don’t fire “not as good as Belichick”. The last couple of seasons the team has been hampered by overpaying Ben, but that’s not on the coach. Just look at their 2nd half comebacks this year, Tomlin’s half time adjustments, with a roster that is mediocre at best, shows his skill. He’s a great coach. Also the Steelers are smart enough to be a patient organization. Cowher went 7-9 3 seasons in a row and they didn’t fire him.
