I wonder if Big Ben reads Ayn Rand ;)

I doubt that idiot knows how to read.

Unless it's written on a little piece of paper that he can stick to his wrist...and most of the time, he needs help with that.

and it moves at a pretty good pace in spite of its length

Each time I read it, I could not get through the 80 page (or so) John Gault radio address. So a few years ago I read it by itself. That section should have been edited out, or reduced to 5 pages at most. A real waste of words.

Yes, by the time he makes the speech, we have heard most of its ideas from Francisco and other characters. I saw a documentary on Rand which stated that producer Robert Evans had a blockbuster movie of Atlas Shrugged lined up in the late 70’s. I can’t remember everyone who was slated to be in it, but he mentioned Robert Redford as John Galt. However, Rand nixed the movie because she would not allow Evans to cut any of the speech. He wasn’t going to lose the speech; je just wanted to pare it down. Pity.

I appreciate Ayn Rand and her views are my own.

BUT,.. I tried reading Atlas Shrugged three different times and I could not get through it. The last time I got just over halfway through it. To me it was like walking through thick mud. I understood it all it was just.....soooooo.......slowwwwww!

She’s still a great thinker to me and I agree with her.

but he mentioned Robert Redford as John Galt.

Curious choice, since Redford pretty much is a Commie.

Another subtle Aaron Rodgers thing:

So Fox will do these postgame, on the field interviews, where the interviewee and interviewer are social distanced, such as him and Erin Andrews. They have the boom mic and everyone is all safe.

Then after the interview, he goes over and hugs Erin. Not that hugging Erin wouldn't be fun, I see it as a FU to the social distance stuff, and pointing out the ridiculousness of the interview set up.

For years Rodgers has photobombed when the captains meet on the field, and they take an official picture, there’s a website full of the pictures where you can see Rodgers in the background doing something silly.

Fascists and Nazism ideologies are rooted in the far left (aka, the government controls all) groupthink.

The “far right” extremists just want to be left the heck alone by the government.

He was a fun guy, at least once upon a time. That’s awesome!

I see that often and it bothers me. Things like "Far Right Neo NAZIS"

The only difference between communists and fascists is their perspective on private property. Communists says there should be none, all property is state property. Fascists say it should be allowed but considered a state resource and they get to control it, especially industry.

That's it, they are indistinguishable in all other aspects. The "fights" between the communists and the fascists in the 30s was a family squabble akin to the Suni Muslims vs the Sunni and Shiite Muslims, a religious squabble over points of theology but still the same religion at the core.

The whole idea of a big budget Hollywood version sounds unbelievable. I guess back then Hollywood wasn't full commie.

BTW, I had the producer wrong. It was Albert S. Ruddy who wanted to do the film. He had previously produced The Godfather.

This surprises me. Aaron Rodgers, who played at Berkeley has always struck me as pretty woke.

That had always been my opinion, too. I guess that the vaccine experience has "reawakened" this once woke guy.

Atlas Shrugged... Not as good a read as The Fountainhead.

The woke white women were absolutely tearing him up on NFL Network this morning. Make no mistake - Rodgers is clearly the MVP of the league this year which drives the Matriarchy at NFL Network absolutely batshate crazy.

Equal parts white male and unwoke- easy target.

Go Aaron. Wait til Green Bay picks up another Lombardi this year and he requests a trade to San Francisco and gets another one there :))

What’s ironic about that?? Isn’t it always totalitarian scum burning the books?

National Socialist college kids for example burned books for the crime of being ‘un-German’. They weren’t libertarians.

Yeah, I had a customer over time calling R’s Nazis and that’s what I told him. The National Socialist German Worker’s Party doesn’t sound like a bunch of Republicans to me.
