5 Reasons the Affirmation Tower Is New York's Most Exciting Real Estate Project For starters, it’s designed, developed, and funded by a prominent majority-Black and women-led team

The island of Manhattan boasts so many soaring towers, that it’s hardly news when a new one shoots up—even if its spire pierces the clouds. That said, now and then, there’s an exception in the form of an ambitious architectural masterpiece, like the west side’s new 90-story Affirmation Tower, a five-tiered, terrazzo-clad skyscraper that, upon closer inspection, appears to be upside down. Developed by Don Peebles, the chief operating officer at the Peebles Corporation, and designed by AD100 architect Sir David Adjaye, Affirmation Tower is as symbolic as it is enormous (1,663 feet tall and two million square feet.) Not only is the statuesque mixed-use building developed, built, and funded by Black- and female-owned businesses, but its tenants will be minority entrepreneurs (with the exception of the local NAACP offices, among Affirmation Tower’s earliest tenants to move in).

Leaning right! Need a drawing from the other side. I thought the image was a joke, but no, that’s for real.

Needs windmills and solar panels to power it.

I would not feel very comfortable working in the upper floors of that building!

Sounds and looks to be another FIU bridge collapse in the making, another "minority design" project,
where engineers were chosen because of their skin color and sex Surly this article is from the Babylon Bee.

We lost a huge job in Seattle on the floating bridge to a former employee who was literally illiterate but was able to claim that he was a CONTRACTer because he was black. Long story short - he nearly sank the bridge and ended up going bankrupt.

Its not racism if blacks do it ! sheese, screw MLK, They don't judge people on the content of their character, They judge people on their skin color. the dream is that some day their children can grow up in a black and only black world....

why dont they move to the southside of Chicago, D.C., Atlanta, Minneapolis, hell south africa over 20 years after apartheid was outlawed, is still bitching its all the whites fault.

why doesn't someone build a strictly whites office building? or a mall? I'll bet the business booms

I want to go into a building that was designed by talented engineers no matter who or what they are, not one that was designed and extolled on the basis of their breasts, vaginas or skin color.

“People of color and women make up the vast majority of this city’s population, but that representation is not reflected in the current architectural and development landscape".

the design team opted for something a bit different: a façade made of white terrazzo.

People of color.

Not represent in the architecture.

...the design team opted for something a bit different: a façade made of white terrazzo.

Alrighty then.

Looks like something designed by that crowd. I would never go up in it, or stand around inside its falling radius.

Wonder why nobody else ever designed one like that? LOl

Miami bridge again.
