Nope. Natural rights are just fine with me. Just showing where the attitude comes from. Your picture released could endanger yourself or your family. Especially carefully edited videos that alter the appearance of a situation.
I am in favor of police vehicle and body cameras, but don’t necessarily trust stuff from the general public.
Stuff? What does that mean? If you're referring to the cameras there would be no difference between of an incident videoed by the cops or from the general public. Except when the cop's video gets omitted, erased, and or they'll tell you their video was inoperative. Btw, it's real easy to determine if a video has been altered/edited etc and there are crimes against tampering with evidence.
Btw, based on his reaction, this cop has no business being a cop.
Not busy? With crime rates what they are it's hard to believe even small town detectives don't have anything to do. No unsolved cases? No pending investigations? Or did he go out of his way to insert himself into this minor incident?
And there were multiple other cops on scene. In fact, officer tough guy handled the situation all wrong, and only escalated the incident. To bad officer tough guy doesn't know the law/Constitution.

and the pro wrestler look combined with the shift on the fly attitudes indicates performance enhancing drugs may be part of the problem...
One other thing, look closely at the video near the beginning. When officer heavy badge is speaking with the uniformed cops, officer tough guy turns his attention to the person taking the video and the uniformed officer can be seen grabbing and pulling back on officer tough guys jacket....
That tells me officer tough guy has a history.
One last thing, officer tough guy is probably the most unprofessional cop I’ve seen in a long time.
I'm not talking about evidence; I mean the vids that CNN and MSNBC repeat continuously without bothering to verify the editing, or worse, those they edit. The ones they use to rile up the usual suspects and create riots.
But you were talking about, "Stuff from the general public".
WFIW, I've watched many of his videos over the past couple of weeks and those are legitimate LEO's vs. citizens and the abuses of the LEO's.
I have no problem with that You Tuber profiting from his videos which analyze step by step the abuses of the LEO's and the ultimate outcome of those encounters. .
The problem I have is with the two guys who are subject of this thread, so called "Auditors".
As I mentioned above, the sole purpose of these YouTubers is to seek out and engage LEO's and attempt to provoke them into violence upon themselves in order to file complaints and ultimately law suits while at the same time posting their videos on their YouTube channels and profit from the subscribers and viewers.
The subject assholes in this video were looking for trouble and they got it. Then they cry foul!
I equate them to the big mouth drunk bully in the bar attempting to intimidate those around him until somebody finally steps up and knocks him out and he turns around and files charges.
FWIW, I've had many interactions with members of the Utica police department and they are all decent guys........

Constitutional rights restrict government not the people.
Too many LEO don’t know what constitutes Constitutional rights.
Educating LEO on Constitutional rights is a good thing.
“A civil rights lawyer is gonna have a field day with that.”
The taxpayers of the City of Utica are going to take a hit once the lawyer makes his case.
We need more cops like that, and fewer who think that they are endowed with a special authority that allows them to throw Br’er Rabbit so far into the briar patch that they win the confrontation.

Look, you’re never going to get the truth from those these news sources you mentioned. They lie and they deceive. They’ll edit what they show ya and there is nothing anyone can do about it. And much of what is provided to the lying media, is evidence and or will be used as evidence in court proceedings. So generally they won’t alter it as they risk getting caught, but they will edit or omit what ya see and there is nothing to stop them from doing that. That’s why people capable of critical thought, do not watch those news sources. Their ratings are in the hole for good reason.
