A new vaccine manufactured in Europe by Sanofi and GSK claims 100% efficacy against severe disease and hospitalizations, and it could be an effective booster after other COVID-19 shots, according to the manufacturers.
The companies received billions of dollars from Donald Trump’s brainchild, “Operation Warp Speed.” Since Biden isn’t calling it that anymore, how are they going to describe where the money came from?
The two-shot Sanofi-GSK vaccine is expected to be approved by the FDA for emergency use in next few weeks.
In laboratory studies, two doses of the Sanofi-GSK vaccine stimulated the production of more neutralizing antibodies than an approved mRNA vaccine, according to the companies. The data have not yet been published. The vaccine was safe and well-tolerated by adults of all ages, the companies said.
The best target for Covid vaccines is a protein called spike that covers the surface of the virus like a crown. While the mRNA vaccines contain the genetic instructions for making the protein, the Sanofi-GSK vaccine uses a slightly modified version of the protein itself to stimulate an immune response.
In fact, that’s exactly how vaccines have been made for 150 years. Sanofi-GSK was planning to introduce the vaccine last year, but clinical trial results on older people were disappointing. They went back to the drawing board and created a stronger vaccine.
The new vaccine had an efficacy of 75 percent against moderate-to-severe disease. It showed 58 percent efficacy against symptomatic disease in its Phase 3 clinical trial. Although that number is lower than was observed for the mRNA vaccines made by Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna in their initial trials, it is “in line with expected vaccine effectiveness in today’s environment dominated by variants of concern,” Sanofi and GSK said in a statement.

Oh, okay an actual working vaccine. Surely we will all trust that news flash. Will it also protect us against invasion by Putin. I mean if you’re gonna stretch it.............. Uh, not buying....... We remain “NON GMO”. Non invaded? Well, not invaded by putin but millions of other unknown folks. Just imagine if those in d.c. paid as much attention and concern to our very own invasion..........crickets.....
Probably 100% effective because they cause immediate death.
They can take their “miracle vaccine” first before anyone else.
NO CREDIBILITY....none, nada....go away.
We’ve all heard this BS before and saw loved ones die by the thousands.
Make all of Congress and their families take it first, then maybe after a few years of seeing the results, the “unwashed masses” might be interested. It’s the only way.
The industry cannot police its own ethics. Consumer confidence is a thing of the past.
Back that up with a guarantee that you will forego any liability immunity for your vax given to you by the government and get back to me.
Even if it actually does have 100% efficacy against hospitalizations - which I seriously doubt, they just haven't had enough people in the trials to have it come up against the virus in a person with enough other issues to be a losing case.
I'm still not going to take any vaccine because the dangers (to me) of any new experimental vaccine far exceed any risk from covid. I am the final arbiter on any and all health decisions concerning me. My doctor can provide recommendations, everyone else (employer, government) can {censored}-off.

It’s still clinically a leaky vaccine. Not like polio which give close to 100% immunity from symptoms.

Seriously, what makes them think we believe anything they claim now? If they said the sky was blue I'd still go outside to look just to make sure the physics of Raleigh scattering hadn't changed.
Governments, pharmaceutical companies, and the entire medical industry have zero credibility left when it comes to any claims about covid or the vaccines. No credibility whatsoever.
I have enough leakage problems already.

Exactly, absolutely 0 credibility.
When the actual data about the impact of the shot is hidden because the people who make money form the same shot are afraid someone my interpret the data negatively ALL credibility is lost FOREVER.
That is not how responsible, caring, professional, educated medical providers and researched behave. It is how greedy, agenda driven, self-important, preening, god-complex delusional tyrants behave.
